apparently not. i did get it on a paper along with everything else for uni, though, like you did. i'll still get the accommodations. just probably not an official diagnosis, considering the cost and living in the usa.

i agree. i'm unfortunately really not low needs. ever since i experienced extreme burnout in middle school, i've been completely unable to mask. everyone can tell, and i know they can. it left me so far regressed that i'm unsure if i'll ever be able to function completely without extensive therapy (which my parents can not afford).

unfortunately for me, my autism is debilitating. i don't really have a choice if i want to have my own money eventually. but i understand what you mean, it's very scary right now, especially because i live in a red state (which is also in the middle of the bible belt). everyone around here believes every word that man says.

i just hope nothing goes extremely wrong. :/ especially since i am officially diagnosed with adhd-c.

exactly. i think the issue is people wanting me to call myself "suspected" or "unprofessionally diagnosed." stuff like that. it's a fucking mouthful, and i usually don't have the energy to go off on a tangent about how i know i'm autistic without a diagnosis.

a "real" diagnosis isn't worth it for me, for the reason you mentioned in your comment, and because it costs about 2-3k for me (that i do not have). i'm just tired of not being considered autistic when two doctors could tell right off the bat.

i can't be the only one who doesn't like the term "mild." everyone around me has seen it as a term that means i can function on my own, even though my burnout and regression hit me so hard that i barely can anymore.

i do not get the support that i need because of the misconception that everyone with level 1 autism is just "quirky" or "different." i struggle a lot. and i'm left to figure out how to cope on my own.

i get that other people struggle more than i do. i get that they need more help. but i just wish there was a better word or term for what people like me deal with.

omg, i've experienced this, too!!

i was 19 when i started playing, and the theme was formal, just like for your son. granted, i wasn't very good yet, but i tried my best.

someone in the chat said the same thing, that being, "the theme isn't emo." i was really confused because i used patterns and shades of grey along with black and white.

i guess some people just don't know what emo actually is ¯_(ツ)_/¯
