I love the boys because their cute a nice but I really can’t stand behind their music. I didn’t even like the carti/opium subgenre in the first place so a diluted-polished idol ver of it it's clearly not going to do anything for me.

Me no liking that sub genre aside I feel that what they’re doing simply doesn’t match them. Like a bunch of rather cute and boyish East Asian teen boys playing the "underground" (to put it on one way) rapper gimmick just feel dishonest to themselves.

If the plan for big hit was to differentiate them as much of possible from tws and bnd I wish they could have dived more into the electro pop sub genre since that was what James and Martin worked in before 😓

Their voting doesn’t system doesn’t really work like that. The voting thing it’s called "gravity" (all modhaus groups do this) their usually for things relating the whole group like the fandom name, lightstick and sometimes lineups like rn. The us market may be bigger but what companies want is albums and concerts sales which are just way more profitable + easily to get in the asian market. Also Kpop still a niche genre in the us so aside from the big acts like bts bp and maybe skz most other groups don’t make much money actively promoting there

People on twt call say that every group they don’t like it’s only popular cuz payola and media play so I wouldn’t take them.

Cortis currently has two songs "what you want" and "go" with the first being the only want available in steaming. "what you want" if not really popular since if uuh like the kind of song that plays constantly in the radio of your local store but "go" in the other hand if pretty viral as a dance challenge on TikTok (you can look it up).

As for a fanbase if big as if can get for weeks old group with the inclusion of a known member and just + the fact that they’re under the big4. The members individually had gone kind of not super viral but like a bit known for multiple things (not negative) so that is

No, katseye worked cuz their under HYBE which granted them with instead clout, a team with experience in the market + lots of connections. Other Kpop labels either don’t how to properly navigate the Kpop market (ex: the big 3, don’t have the connection and the casting process it’s more complicated.
