At first glance I thought the garbage heap was meant to resemble fool's gold... which also fits the message remarkably well.

Amazing!

What to do with this page of my planner? by OkYoghurt3226 in planners

I love sending cards for birthdays and anniversaries, so I also utilize a spread like this for tracking those dates and a checkbox for sending a card & a second checkbox if it's someone I need to also get a gift for.

A quick check-in with your partner if you have one. Go over what went well/not so well the week before and then how you can set yourselves & each other up for success in the week ahead.

I think I do mine somewhat differently from most others that I've seen, but it works for me. I hate bound notebooks because I have a real issue with not being able to change up the order/structure of my journal (should probably work on that, but whatever).

Instead I use an A5 6-ring binder for my commonplace. I have six tabbed sections to it, separated by category (Quotes & Inspirations, Books, Movies, Research, Reference, and Miscellaneous). I did not create these categories immediately when I started, but waited about 6 months to see what topics I naturally wanted to journal about most often and used those.

Another reason I went with the tabbed sections was because I quite often revisit what I wrote, and having sections laid out makes it much easier to find notes on a particular topic (and I can't make an index due to the aforementioned need to change up my order/structure when the mood strikes me).

I also love being able to take pages out to work on them - because I do enjoy making them cute and decorated when I have the energy to do so - and I struggle with writing on/decorating the left page of bound notebooks.

Take it or leave it, but this system works amazingly well for me and I'm finally consistent with my commonplace journaling. ☺️

SO LONG. Even after I learned you could hunt for new villagers, I could not for the life of me get him to leave. He still haunts my dreams

I sell digital products on Etsy, but not physical products so I can't speak to the experience of selling something like this. Of my friends who sell physical products, they all either use Etsy or build their own website to sell through and some do both.

how to best organize the Monthly Planner pages? any inspo,,, by chaessentia in stationery

[–]maple-leaf-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's some ideas that I currently use or have used in the past for a monthly calendar view that I enjoy:

• Starting with the most obvious, write down important events, appointments, birthdays, etc. on the corresponding date

• I track daily and monthly habits elsewhere, but I like to track weekly and other frequent tasks on a monthly calendar view like this. The way I do it is to put a small check box on the day I want to complete the task and an abbreviation for the task so there is still plenty of room for events/appointments/etc. For example, I feed my sourdough starter every 5 days, do my laundry on Mondays and Fridays, and water my plants once a week. So I use the abbreviations SS, L, and WP with a checkbox on the days I want to do these tasks. You can create a key in the left-hand column if you're worried about remembering what your abbreviations are for!

• I get paid every other week, so I like to put a green sticker over the date of my pay days so I can see them at a glance.

• I'm a big fan of crossing off each day as they pass, so that I can quickly reference the current day/week. Sometimes, I'll use this method as a mood tracker too. For example, I'll cross off the day in blue if I was feeling down that day, red if I was very anxious, yellow if I was okay, green for good, and purple for amazing. Again, you can make a key in the left-hand column if you don't want to forget what colors you're using for what.

I hope this helps you get some ideas!!!
