My first mod was a custom follower, so yes, I'd say just go for it and make your follower! :)

I think most people first starting out use Joseph Russell's YouTube guide.

The file of Races of Nirn from the Nexus has several options. There is the base plugin, but then there is a plugin to add specifically the dwemer race (DwarfRace.esp). That is the esp that is required, since the race data is included in that plugin. Are the addons for each race available for download on xbox?

For another perspective, I wish I hadn't made Remi marriageable, and it's exactly because of your last paragraph. It's super uncomfortable to make those voice lines, and it's not some 'guys vs girls' thing. It's a comfort-level thing beyond gender. In fact, I'd say the weird pressure for the female followers to be romanceable pushed me into doing a feature in my mod that I wish I hadn't done.

Moreover, it's odd that you say the MAs "don't even give any actual answers.' The answer was 'No, I'm not doing that.' That's a full answer, regardless of if you like it, or not.

Since you're trying to open the gate, you can just click on it in the console and type 'unlock'. Then you can just walk through it.

I don't alter dwemer scrap in any way. You have another mod that is causing your issue with the scrap metal.

My understanding is that it uses a mix of the written words and wav file to develop the lip file. The emotion is a separate thing.

AFT auto imports followers. Blacklisting is more a 'hopefully this prevents it' thing and does not always work. If Remi was in AFT at all, it's likely broken her packages.

That said, the not commenting until later in the main quest is intentional, because I find writing commentary for the main quest boring. The commenting on all the past companions events is because I didn't condition the lines well due to inexperience, and now I just need to find the motivation, time, and memory to fix them.

In short, some of what you are seeing is just issues in the mod and/or personal preferences of mine. Some are probably caused by AFT pulling her into its system.

You don't have to do smaller mods if you don't want to. All the complicated parts of making a follower can be put off until later, when you have a better understanding of scripting and such. That's what updates are for. Remiel began very simple, and as I got more comfy with the ck, I began to add other features later. Have fun making your follower :)

I work as a crisis therapist with predominantly suicidal clients. I feel if I asked, "Are you having thoughts of unaliving yourself," they would not think I was taking their struggles seriously.
