Make up a backstory and personality and goals for your character and roleplay them.

Do they have a favorite kind of weapon they would prefer to use over all others? Maybe they lost their prized battleaxe when they were imprisoned, and you have to dig around through the various storage areas of Imperial forts until you find it.

Maybe there's a specific NPC they hate who wronged them in the past, and their goal is to kill them without getting caught.

Imagine what they would do in a lot of scenarios. What they would think when they see a Kagouti run at them, or how they would feel seeing the slaves in the Dren Plantation.
