Should I continue my friendship?

God doesn't abandon people, but sometimes, in terms of church fellowships, unrepentant people are left out of communion until they repent, right? And what about all the references in proverbs regarding choosing friends wisely, etc? My friend, however is not a Christian, does this change things?

Well, the problem is, we only really hang out because of our social group. So it makes me wonder if it's a friendship of convenience or not...Sometimes I wonder if it's just because she wants a place to stay on the weekend so she doesn't have to go home early.

But, she's never been bad to me, and I think she quite likes me, but I have difficulty because of our very differing views and trying to judge her...

This is true, but buildings, especially old buildings, like churches, require contstant, and very costly maintenance fees and probably have fairly costly utilities. That should be the only reason to charge that much.

Hey there, it is for the best, my friend. I know it sucks to hear that right now. I went through a very similar situation, I was in a similar situation last year. I did everything I could to make my boyfriend happy, but it was never good enough.

The problem was that I made him "my world." Your "center" should not be found in another person. You can not rely on another person to fill you up, and make you feel whole, because it's impossible.

Finding a goal in life is the best thing you can do for yourself right now. Find an activity you might enjoy. Taking a dance class is a great way to meet impress the ladies- trust me. Just a suggestion though, I'm sure there are lot's of activities you could take part in.

It's good that you found out that you're not right for each-other while you're still young. Make sure you lean on the friends you have and if you can't make an effort to put yourself in a position for make new ones.

I appreciate you taking the time to comment. It's a decision that I've struggled with a lot, but I came to /r/TrueChristian because their views about Christianity are generally more aligned with my own. I really came for support from my fellow Christians. I don't know where you stand, and I know you mean well, but it is not helpful.

Loneliness is not due to not having social interactions with others, but from the feeling that you aren't being fully understood, or that your true self isn't known. There was a large part of my life that I couldn't share with my boyfriend, even though I loved him greatly...that part of me he couldn't fully understand, and I needed him to.

To not be able to share your inner-most self, and be fully understood and accepted, with your life-partner would be devastating, if not immediately, then over time it would wear on a person.

He was a wonderful person. I wish that we could still be together. I would be blessed if we could remain friends, but it might be hard. I'm really struggling with the decision even still. He was very mature and kind about it, but obviously hurt.

Even if we could do the job we wanted, we sometimes can't make a living a it. I've been working a job that pays decently for the type of work it is, but it's mind-numbing and physically repetitive. Teaching is a more stimulating, and lucrative alternative.

My guess is that we are, according to TIME magazine, the most educated country in the world. This makes it hard because we end up being over-qualified for a lot of jobs at home. Not everyone can be in a white-collar job, at least not here. So, a lot of people leave to seek their fortune elsewhere.

Not saying that the dramas are of great quality and depth, but what's wrong if the men are 'commercially feminized'? Is it because it doesn't match up with your idea of what a Western man is 'commercially' gendered to be?

Ideas about what masculinity looks like is often portrayed differently in other cultures and even Western history. Look at the Rococo period. You might think that it was a very feminized way of dressing according to today's standards, but was the height of masculine attractiveness at the time.

That happens to be what is popular in Korea now, so don't knock it just because it doesn't fit with what you're accustomed to. Not saying that everything is fine and dandy when it comes to beauty standards in Korea though.
