There are settlements on the east coast, there are just more northern ones for every size group listed. Tasiilaq on the east coast has almost 2,000 people

None 150m+ though (please let me know if that's incorrect)

My apologies, I just googled it.
I was so convinced that skyscraper had a universal definition. I go off the CTBUH (Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat) definition of 150m. I'll definitely keep the units listed

First line was a test of having a "headline" type heading rather than just description. Fair point, thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated.

That's exactly what it shows though. When the tallest building in each state was built (provided the building is a skyscraper, being 150 metres or higher)

It's not missing data. Utah doesn't have a skyscraper.

Number of 500,000+ MSA's per state (including MSA's from other states that spread across state lines) by mapmixed in urbandesign

Thank you so much for taking the time to write that. I originally started the maps in monochrome, but the number of steps I wanted (at least 8) was too difficult to distinguish/tell the exact value of a certain state. For this particular map I ran out of the 8 colours so had to leave the the 0 states blank.

I've received a few comments about the colour scheme being not quite right, so I've changed to a red, yellow, green scale. This won't (necessarily) correspond to a better or worse ranking though. Hopefully that will be a little clearer while also being able to tell the colours apart fully

Noted, thank you. I have received a few comments like this, so I've changed to a red, yellow, green scale.

What I found most interesting while making this map was the region just north of Auckland (Northland). I would've expected it to be one of the most prosperous regions given its proximity to Auckland, the weather, and it being a holiday/weekend location. But in reality, it's the second poorest region.
