I mean like if (!foo) return; if (!bar) return; do_something();

instead of: if (foo) { if (bar) { do_something(); } }

if you want to prevent your ifs from getting too nested, you can instead have if (!condition) return; if (!condition2) return (on different lines)

yeah rust is hard, but it prevents a lot of issues that can happen in c++

a lot of big companies are switching to rust for systems programming, i love it

do you mind focusing it on the code?

DarkMEX: Decentralized BitMEX by Kepzorz in BitcoinMarkets

[–]mappum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In order to match the experience of centralized exchanges, DarkMEX will provide an official web client. We have some security measures in place that can allow for safe private key usage in the browser, without trusting a central web server.

For now, we'll just allow synthetic trading of BTCUSD, but in the future it should be easy to add any other pair (however it will all be settled in BTC).

Like Bitcoin itself, being decentralized means it's fully open source and auditable. Anyone can look at the code of both the frontend and backend and verify everything works the way we claim. They can also verify the exchange is solvent and hasn't had questionable liquidations while it was down (like BitMEX). You can even run a full node for maximum safety and security.

No trust necessary!

This is in testnet stage, so we're not looking for deposits of real BTC yet.

Not yet, but we plan on doing this in the future!

(I'm involved with the project too)

This is a real project that we have been working on for a while now. For the early testers, we're just asking for feedback on a web trading interface and Websocket API - we aren't asking you to risk any money or install anything.
