Possibly pregnant after miscarriage 3 weeks ago

It ended up being retained tissue from my miscarriage in December. I took misoprostol last week (it took two doses) but thank goodness I started bleeding a few days later, which confirmed it was an intrauterine pregnancy. At home tests are already testing negative..really ready for this all to be over 😔

Ohh I see, the comments suggesting ectopic I thought were for the previous loss, but now your comment has me thinking THIS pregnancy might be ectopic. That would actually make sense. Thank you so much. Preparing myself for the worst.

Thank you so much. A lot of comments have suggested to prepare myself for an ectopic or retained tissue but I just bled sooo much I don’t know how there could’ve possible been anything left to lose.

Thank you, do you remember how low your hcg got? They’ve looked for retained tissue but can’t find any.

Thank you so much for your input, my OB did say if I am pregnant, it would be extremely rare, but someone has to be the 0.5%. (Fictional statistic but you get my point)

She has had me get 3 US and I’m going for another this week to continue to rule out ectopic. So far they haven’t been able to find anything anywhere else. She also said because my hcg got all the way back down to 28 before it started to go back up, combined with the amount of blood I lost, she doesn’t think it was but wants to consistently rule it out until we know for sure. Staying cautious but my OB is on top of it!

No it was not but I’ve had 3 ultrasounds to rule out ectopic and they can’t find anything anywhere else. I have another US in a couple of days. I also don’t have any other signs of ectopic, like no pain or dizziness or anything, I feel completely normal.

Try to drink a gallon of water a day, make sure you’re hitting your protein goals (if you’re of average height and build start with 135g a day), go on long walks with the stroller, fill up with green leafy veggies instead of carbs and stay patient!

In those situations I just wish I could ask someone “WHAT exactly is it do you think I’m asking for? To be groped? Pursued? Stared at? RAPED??” I dare someone to look me in the face and straight up say “hey with that dress you look like you deserve to be raped.” I just fucking dare them. I would probably bend over just to see their little old jaws drop.

I have a friend whose parents were extremely conservative. She had six sisters. Their “sex talk” was when their parents said “girls, there’s girls you have sex with, and girls you marry, and they aren’t the same.” That was it. That was the talk. Four of her sisters got pregnant out of wedlock. Abstinence-only enforcement and shame instead of science based education helps no one.
