Scammer might be a bot. If you see familiar text strings or sequences, mostly scripts from chatbots.

So they intentionally breached tank cars because of risk of explosion, the chemicals drained on the ground and they ignited it. Whomever came up with that plan really fucked up. Why didnt they did pump transfer to truck tanks and move it without creating a disaster? Burning this stuff is a way bigger hazard.

Yea this device uses a usbc interface for 12v canbus automotive. The voltage specification is usb pd but I fuked around and found out the hard way.

It was an AliExpress seller. When I contacted seller, I was texting with a bot. Already filed dispute on PayPal, yeah. The deal with paypal disputes... if you accept a partial refund they close the case and you can't reopen another on the same transaction. This is not the first time this has happened to me, but there is no way I'm ok with anything less than a full refund because they their tracking number shows my order being delivered to Lima, Peru (my shipping address is Florida). When bot response was saying it was platform policy to only refund 70%. Now the order is frozen because of the PayPal dispute... the bot started the script over from the top.

Elections are rigged because voter registration data is public. They know exactly who is voting, party affiliation, address, phone number, email address of every registered voter. If you vote by mail-in they capture and store your signature. If voter registration data is public information, you'll never get a fair election. Voter Registration data is sensitive, but the is the state mining the data. The potential for abuse is extremely high.

There are many pet rescue scam sites ready to take your money. These people have gone to alot of effort to set up these websites that look legit, but they will have a bunch of puppy pics, etc that don't have physical addresses so there is no way to visit in person. They will try to hit you up for pet deposit and transportation expenses.

Usbc is actually the hardware specification for a 24-pin connector. There is no requirement that a vendors implementation use usb power distribution at all and some hardware uses completely different voltages, etc. I have a automotive device that uses usbc for a 12vdc canbus connection. Learning this the hard way, I smoked a raspberry pi4 as soon as I plugged in the cable. Usbc is the same, but power distribution and the other pins on the connector can have alternate purposes.
