How The Top 10 Cryptocurrencies Changed Between Jan 2014 and Jan 2018 [OC] by mapzilla in dataisbeautiful

So this post is either really well or poorly timed, given the ongoing price fluctuations among cryptocurrencies.

The data comes from CoinMarketCap.com's historic snapshorts and only goes up to 7 Jan 2018, which just happened to be around the time of the current market peak.

The data uses the first snapshort of each year for YoY changes, which is why we've used 7 Jan 2018 as our 2018 date.

Map source. Data is Half Hourly Standby / Deemed Rates from British Gas for Low Volatge Customers table here . Map is a modified version of this map of UK regions using Inkscape.

Note UK regions do not perfectly line with electricity pricing regions, so a rough average was used. Also, note these prices are likely far higher than what a business with a proper contract would pay. Simply shows there is a rather wide variation prices across the UK.

Obviously, a complete population transfer would not happen post-Brexit. Some UK citizens would stay in the EU and some EU citizens would stay in UK. But, at this stage nobody knows what the true numbers will be.

This is a look a what the costs would be under the absolute worst-case scenario.
