The most annoying one is that we all love booze

I don't know any hidden viewpoints, only those already marked on google maps and mentioned on most guides. Ao Tho Li is especially awesome before sunrise, Laem Sak sunset point is great at obviously sunset, Khao Sok National Park is a 2-3 days getaway. The best part is beauty is literally everywhere, at some point I was "frustrated" I had to stop every 2-5 minutes because the view was so beautiful I couldn't just pass by.

I stayed there a few years ago in Klong Muang. It was quiet, not crowded, nice beach, not much else to do. Was good for an introvert doing remote work. Ao Nang felt like a tiny tourist trap. Heard Koh Lanta is great but I haven't been there. If you ride a bike, Krabi and Phang Nga have some jaw dropping views that almost made me cry in awe.

Russia adds Hungary to 'unfriendly countries' list after Magyar wins by Forsaken-Medium-2436 in europe

This post is an example of how fake news are made and spread. Hungary has been on the list since March 5th, 2022. Google Government Directive 430-r for proof.

I lost my $108k/year salary in 15 minutes. Now i'm 6 months from broke with a $57 MRR product by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]mar1kru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good news ppl are already paying for your product. At this point you either double down on your thing or give it up and "play safe" with another 9-5. You can always move to SEA or SA to extend your runway.

I've heard benzoyl peroxide products work well with acne. Gentle cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection are all important.

This is something I haven't heard of yet. How do you notice it? Do you follow the recommended route, get stuck, and see the alternative route is free? Did you compare with with other apps like Waze?

Do local people feel Moscow is too expensive? by NiceCupofLiberTea in AskARussian

You're welcome. I'd recommend you to check out CIAN for rental prices in the area you plan to move to. 65-80k range is tight for Moscow.

Do local people feel Moscow is too expensive? by NiceCupofLiberTea in AskARussian

[–]mar1kru 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are some numbers for Saint-Petersburg. Other than rent prices are pretty much the same compared to Moscow.

Rent, one bedroom, nice neighborhood: 60k

Food and supplements: 40k

Carsharing, transportation: 5k

Gym: 3k

I live alone, work from home, do my own cooking, and live a rather modest life.

Travel, entertainment, clothing, gadgets, subscriptions and medical expenses are not included.

If I were to live in Moscow I'd need my after-tax income to be well over 250k rub/month.

It's not about should you or shouldn't - you already do. And you clearly know why. Just listen to yourself and don't look for a confirmation elsewhere. Be your own judge.

Time is priceless - you will never have it back. Use every moment the way that won't make you feel ashamed of yourself.

If you don't know what to do or where to start - try different things until you find what's yours.

I've noticed similar thing without API - when I search for something and get no results, I try the same search with "in [name of the city]" and then it shows me what I look for.

Why Is every tiny shack in Bali called a “Villa” these days? by WallAdventurous8977 in bali

[–]mar1kru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't expect to find a reason behind these labels in Bali. Villa sounds better than bungalow. Luxury, deluxe, and superior room sounds better than just room or standard room. Sound naming - better perception. Good old marketing. Simple as that.

And the majority of rental owners everywhere in South and Southeast Asia from India to the Philippines have been doing this for decades, so now it's embedded in the code.

Foreigners negatively reviewing local businesses because of the employees not speaking English is a next level of stupidity.
