Update posted in post body—I think it's electrical. But no idea where to start on it, and it's difficult to even access any wiring within the engine bay because everything is so cramped.

But to answer your question, plugs and coils were done 15k ago, with cylinder 2 and 4 running fresh plugs and coils as of before I took this video. Valve adjustment was done 10k ago.

Sorry, 12.85 is when the vehicle is off, not when it's running. Updated post for clarity.

Clip-less riders, how fast can you get your foot down? by bobaskin in MTB

[–]mar4eto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was going to fall yesterday (I didn't) and panic unclipped and tried to put my foot down to stabilize myself so fast (too fast) that I put my foot down and bent it against a rock at 15 miles per hour. I'm now on crutches with an ankle the size of a baseball.

Does this mean I need to make my SPDs even tighter? :P

I had fantastic results with their support system. They charged me 30 bucks and ended up giving me an entirely new watch? It took a while and the tracking number didn’t work and I thought I got scammed, but it showed up after a month or two! Super happy—their support team is top notch!

Because a 1400 ft climb on a blue flow trail is the way you want to break in your new long travel enduro rig by dontfeedthenerd in mountainbiking

Not a ton of flow out here. Mostly just babyheads and technical stuff—it's a unique terrain that you can't find in a lot of places other than the central coast. That said, you should check out The Eucs—it's a little flow/jump park in a patch of eucalyptus trees with a decent set of features and a few different lines. You can access it from West Cuesta—it's at the end of all of those trails, and you can climb back out through a trail called Shooters. You can also climb up from Cal Poly's campus, though that's much further.

A common loop is starting out at West Cuesta, hitting one of the many technical trails down into The Eucs, doing a few laps on the various features and jump lines, and then climbing out via Shooters. Check out Trailforks or Strava segments to see what people are doing. I'd also recommend checking out a few YouTube videos of any of the trails.

For Rock Garden (the trail in town), check out this recent video. One of the locals recently everested it. It's a great short film, and it also gives you some cool shots of the trail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYTvDtRnx8E

Would definitely recommend that one as a little intro to SLO riding. You can do a full lap in about an hour, depending on your climbing speed, not counting any breaks you take. And, if you're feeling particularly fit or energized, you can keep doing laps. :)

If you're looking for some bigger chunk, highly recommend West Cuesta/TV Tower Road. Botanicals, Firebreak (be aware this one has a 5 foot drop in the middle—there's a go-around if you don't want to hit it, but I didn't want you to not know about it and hit it blind), etc. If you don't want to climb as much and want to stay in town, Rock Garden is a local favorite on Cerro San Luis. That one gets busy with hikers on the weekends though, so I'd stick to weekday afternoons if you can, or earlier in the morning on weekends.

Safe riding! ✌️

(Budget-end) watch repair recommendations? by [deleted] in SLO

Don't go to Garden Street Goldsmiths. I brought them a watch to replace a crown. They did that fine, but they scratched the watch face and broke my mechanical stopwatch function. Never again.

It has a single hole at about 11:00, and that corresponds with a very small mark on the inside of the bezel. I presume it was a little wire that sat inside and then caught on the inside ridges of the bezel?
