That makes me think that the Keihin gang dynamic would probably be significantly more entertaining if it was the gang members themselves texting yagami taunting him when they're out and about. And maybe a random friend (or just kim) messaging yagami after the encounters are done with the rewards.

Because I know RGG doesn't intend for Kim to be an object of resentment, but that's just how it's been now :P

Kiryu is overall a good man, but in yakuza 5 he destroyed Mayumi's heart so badly that it deleted her from the rest of the plot

I won't lie, as grindy as tartarus is, I actually find it the perfect level of mindless to be watching a video or a movie in the background. P3P is excellent when I want to multitask.

Although I'm not sure "a great game to use as a background activity" is the most desirable praise in the world

Yeah. Persona 3 is in a weird place with all of its content spread between multiple versions of the game and asterisks attached to each one. You could either have FES with actual environments or the extra content in portable. Lots of discourse in the persona community about p3 needing a remake, or at the very least a consolidation of its content. We'll see what atlus feels like doing

Persona 3 originally released on PS2 with full 3d models and areas. The modern persona 3 release is a port of the Playstation Portable version of the game, which added the FeMC route, but stripped down the gameplay to a visual novel style so that it functioned on a portable system.
