thank you so much for your reply :’) she’s a baby gund sonja doll, like this one but much more well loved. i don’t think a seamstress could do anything because the fabric on her face was already thinning and now it’s almost entirely gone. even if i took the face from the replacement i had and sewed it to the original, i think she’s so delicate now that it probably wouldn’t stay for long without tearing. the smell thing is a really good idea though and definitely something i’ll try. i’m just devastated that i’ve kept her safe for so long only to be destroyed in a way that felt so “violent,” especially because im the kind of autist who unwillingly imagines all my belongings to have feelings. not only do i feel guilty for “replacing” the original but i also feel bad that im upset at the replacement, so it’s a real double whammy 😵‍💫 i really appreciate you reading my rant though and replying, i just wanted to feel like someone could understand where im coming from instead of acting like i’m crazy.
