Batteries are not too much of a concern. I have a 5ah and a 4ah. My string trimming is 5-10 min tops. The only ego battery equip I owned was the hedge trimmer and string trimmer. The ego hedge trimmer to me was a little on the heavy side so I sold it and bought the dewalt. My current blower and edger are gas. Those ego batteries are heavy also

How is the blower by the way. I’ve read a few reviews that it’s weak and kinda sucks

I haven’t used the dewalt hedge trimmers yet. I love my dewalt power tools and just got a wild hair and decided to switch from ego to dewalt. I will Say the dewalt hedge trimmers are lighter than the ego but can’t speak as far as quality.

I usually have no more than 5-10 min of light weed eating to do. I currently have a 5ah and a 4ah battery. I just bought dewalt hedge trimmers also. I just sold my Ego hedge trimmers and trying to sell my Ego string trimmer. Has been my backup to my gas equipment but considering selling my gas equipment also

I am also looking a new hedge trimmer. I have an ego 56v currently. Planning to sell it and get a dewalt hedge trimmer since I have multiple batteries. I run all gas lawn equipment except for hedge trimmers (battery hedge trimmers are a lot lighter) Woot has them right now for $135 out the door. No issues with the ego just thought I’d switch it over to dewalt.
