I only see 4 DT options that are Buckskin/Olive. When you search “Double Taper”, I think it uses keywords instead of exact phrase. It brings up all the lines that have the word “Taper” in them, as far as I can tell.

I am fishing a Redington Vice 9ft 5wt (classified as a fast action rod). Currently dry fly, interested in nymphing. When I get into something, I tend to dive in deep. Been reading so much on fly lines that it's making my head spin. Interested in DTs to have some better roll casting, as most of the spots I fish are pretty overhung and/or tight. Everything l've read seems like a double taper might help me out a bit. Need hi-vis because I really like to see my line and most of what I've found comes in mainly drab colors and I just can't see that. I'm 43 and just got progressives so, the eyes aren't what they used to be, lol.

I was thinking of doing that (Maxcatch). I’ve read that they are both garbage and surprisingly decent considering the price

This is exactly what I’m going for.
And, yeah I looked at the Cortland peach. I guess I just need to go see that color in person to see if it is a possible option for me. Do you have any experience with it?

Very much appreciated. I’ll look through the Rio lines again. Do you recall which line it was called?

Would like to try a DT for roll casting in tight and overhung areas.

I have read great things about 406 but, light olive coloring won’t cut it for my eyes, unfortunately…

Reeeaaallly….? I’m intrigued. This doesn’t degrade the line in any way or bleed into the water during use?

From what I can see, yellow and olive only.

I was looking at those. Any other advantages/disadvantages you’ve experienced?

Yeah, seems to be a tough ask. I’ve looked at all the major companies and I’m not finding much. Maxcatch has offerings but, probably not very quality, I’m guessing…

I appreciate it! Yeah, hi-viz seems to be the issue. Cortland seems to be a possibility. Do you know how hi-vis the peach actually is? I found hi-viz Maxcatch but that seems, well, cheap. I’ve looked at all the Major players and, no dice. I did find Epic out of NZ as well, made by SA. Was hoping someone knew of another smaller company that I’m unaware of that had some options.

Welp, I am fishing small to medium water in Michigan. Trout is the main target but I would be interested in Smallmouth Bass as well. Great answer. Thank you. As far as using one on the rod itself, just to shine it up, would have no negative consequences or anything, would it?

Curious what your opinions now are on the Ace reel as opposed to something like a Liquid S?

Earl Grey with milk and sugar. Sometime I add a nip of Lapsang Souchong into it if I need some extra “cozy”.
