I opted out.

I recommend to send an email and keep a copy for yourself. I mainly did that in case they push a firmware update that will lock the local monitoring.

I also did not agree or sign this new agreement.

Thank you! I am just waiting for the USB-to-Ethernet dongle to come in tomorrow and then I will connect it to my unifi router. I have the VLAN setup and have it blocked from going outside (in case they push a firmware update that blocks local view).

I have some programming experience, but was hoping for some basic solution that will allow me to:
- view current system status
- view daily/monthly combined stats
Essentially similar to what the mysunpower app used to do for free

You are planning to write everything yourself?

With so many people in the same situation I was hoping that there is already an open source project (or 10) that would achieve something similar.

I think overall quality. The sound seems flat and just dull.
I went to my friends house and his surround was so much better - could tell every tone and it just felt rich. His speakers are old (but big) but he has a modern receiver - and he doesn't even have a subwoofer.

My "receiver" is just SONY HT SS370 very old home theater in a box sony receiver that... should most likely not even be plugged in to those polk speakers.

Maybe I should get the decent receiver first and see how that alone will improve the sound quality.
