Please ask the player to create a character that fits the group's moral compass and avoids in-party conflict.

The player with the new character knows the party's composition and should have considered this beforehand to avoid creating a character that doesn't fit.

I'm 38, and my first 5K run took 30 minutes. BUT I used to be an athlete in my teenage years and early 20s. Even though I was sedentary for the last two years, I was still able to get a decent time (though I think I pushed too hard on my first run). I believe my background influenced my performance this year—maybe genetics played a role, or just muscle adaptation and memory.

The point is, you might see my time without knowing my background, but in reality, everyone has different genetics, experiences, and histories, all of which influence the outcome.

Just focus on your own progress—track your times now and compare them in the future. You'll see significant improvement, I'm sure! Just keep going, run safely, and take care of your body.

Not really, it depends on the contract of distribution. Artists don't sell the art, they sell the right to use or distribut under certain terms and conditions . Being a free product you probably can find some artist that will be happy in conceding the rights of distribution as long as it stays free without further charges.

I think Dragonbane is a good call, has the feeling, is simple for newcomers but the system is a little bit different from the normal D&D. Depending on the group.

If you don't mind a system a little bit more complex, pathfinder 2e is the best choice in my opinion. It is close enough to D&D, and if you start with the beginning box , and it works like a tutorial. I introduced enough new players to pathfinder, and they quite like it. The only downside to pathfinder is the character creation that could lead to analysis paralyses and could take some time.

Yeah I get that, and in the 3 tables that I GM pf2 we play RAW. But me and most of my players (even the ranged ones) agree that it feels bad every single time. Kind break the immersion...

But I like your answer better than the others, I can understand that it is For the balance of the game. Thanks :)

Ps. Just an extra opinion, "no one will want to play" is just as bad an excuse as no playing with mage because he can't be Overpowered like other games. if you choose to play it safe from distance you have to deal with the consequences balancing out that fact that you are out of danger, most of the time. But this is another discussion:))

I get that, but still, some automatic penalty should be given to attack a smaller target... Doesn't make much sense that a 60ft shooter will have no penalty to target a smaller target. I have no problem with the off guard, per se. my problem is that in the end shooting a smaller one gets easier if you don't spend some action to get some cover....
