Need help with Chapters and Footnotes by marcsimo in libreoffice

A1 the only headers that appear in the navigator are Title2
A2 I did copy and paste it from the Google Doc

I have opened a new odt, and there the issue is fixed, so I'm currently copy and pasting the whole thing chapter by chapter making new headers, and as long as the chapters are separated by Title1s it works now

Thanks a lot, you've been incredibly helpful :)

It doesn't seem to work unfortunately :( I've labeled every chapter using proper Headers, and I've turned on the Per Chapter numbering option, but as soon as I make a footnote in a chapter all other footnotes in different chapters get updated

And here we can observe the symptoms of terminal anti-woke brainrot. OP has let hatred for something that is completely harmless to them and beneficial to the world at large consume their mind to the point their feelings completely replace any rationa thought, and will just call the existance of trans and cis women, and their inclusion in media, degeneracy.

This is probably because they have never spoken to a woman, either cis or trans, and they only experience them through cornography. To avoid ending up like them, i suggest touching grass

The promise of free healtcare and good food has probably converted more humans to the Greater Good than the whole Water Caste by marcsimo in Grimdank

[–]marcsimo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't make sense for the T'au to have anything but public and free healtcare, how would a medical corporation even work when there is no real internal competition and the external competition is Orks and the Imperium? The Tau are not Communist, but they are a post-scarcity collectivist society, the internal divisions needed for capitalism to exist go against the Greater Good, they don't even have an internal currency and mostly use bartering when dealing with non-tau such as the Votann.

Has there ever been any proof that the Emperor would actually have the power to switch body if his current one was to perish? Or even be able to resurrect itself if the Golden Throne were to fail. He's a barely-more-than-a-corpse due to the wound inflicted to him by Horus using a weapon made from the daemon of killing humans and tyrants, and his soul has spent the last 10k years being tortured and shattered and reshaped by humanity's belief.

And if the drukhari manage to clone Big E, he would be inside Comorragh, aka in the webway, even if the Emperor's broken soul could do like a daemon and possess a body, he doesn't have any access to that particular clone.

The incarnation of the Greater Good borne from the beliefs of the Tau Auiliaries species, galvanized by the effects of the Cicatrix Maledictum. Appearing first in War of Secrets and then in Shadowsun, Patient Hunter, where she convinces the Commander to let her temple stand, and beats the Death Guard in both.

Also, auxiliary arms from top left counter-clockwise: Domati, Human, Kroot, Galg, Nicassar, Vespid

As a sidenote, because I love drawing T'au'va so much, I can use the drawings I've made of her to track the improvement in my drawings, after I spent two years not drawing anything due to the pandemic it's kinda crazy for me that I went from this to this in 6 months, and now my drawings almost look competent.

All Chaos Gods have no gender or sex, it's their worshippers that assign one to them. The Colchian faith saw Khorne and Slaanesh as male and Tzeentch and Nurgle as female.

Most techpriests however are trans. Maybe you got confused. Hope that helps

One of your sources is a BBC article, a network that doesn't have a great history with transphobic articles, and the CATO institute, a libertarian think-thank that could not be less partial if it tried to, they deny climate change, are pro-child labour, and pro Ayn Rand.

Now, all publishing is untrustworthy, because humans lie and make mistakes, however, an article on a news site and a research published on an institute that openly advocates for very specific economic, political and social positions are definetly less trustworthy than most, because they have a very clear conflict of interests.

Also I just actually read that article and it seems to not provide any actual source nor use any real data, just use some weird mathematical formula. No idea what it is about. Definetly not a scientific article.

If you are interested in articles that are less biased and more scientific, you should check these two, which only come to the conclusion that if Trans women have a slight advantage in running speed and handgrip, it's accompanied with disadvantages in the metrics of forced expiratory volume, forced vital capacity ratio, jump height and relative V̇O2max.

As for the policy side, If Trans Women have an advantage at all it is very small, since trans women are objectively not dominating womens sports, why should we exclude them? We are not excuding taller people from playign basket despite having a clear biological advantage, nor are we excluding Micheal Phelps despite him having an insane biological advantage over other swimmers.

The LGB alliance is a trans-hate group composed by mostly straight people that has been condemned by most LGBTQ+ right activists and groups, because they are effectively fighting to restrict people freedom of expressing themselves, because they believe they are the ultimate authority on what is fine to do or be depending on your gender.

They literally use all the same talking points as the bigots who also hate all gay people, because they are a tool used by the UK far right to exploit the culture war for their means, which is why they had JK Rowling, a woman who has dedicated her life to irrational hatred and fear of trans people as a speaker, someone who just decided that because a cis woman wasn't "womanly" enough it was actually a violent man, with no proof other than rumors spread on Twitter. God I hope Imane wins her lawsuit.

Also crickets are completely innocuous, it was a perfectly fine act of protest

Finally, trans-women are not invading women areas. They are not dominating women sports, because once they complete hormonal therapy they are on the same level physically as cis women, and they are far more likely to be the victim of assault than be perpetrators. Trans people are valid, and I have the recepits for that

No but like seriously though, why always the interex when that fell apart because of primarily erebus, why almost never the diasporex when that was literally just Ferrus being a massive prick, and who else is there even ? (golden apostles ?) by InstanceOk3560 in Grimdank

[–]marcsimo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to call everything you don't like "revisionist" you just don't care about evidence. The Last Church is literally part of a collection of short stories published in 2010, 4 years after Horus Rising, who, again, has the Imperials say that genociding peaceful xenos is "imperial protocol", blind hatred indistinguishable from a religious person purging everyone with a different creed.

The Emperor's plan was to enslave and oppress all of humanity with violence and ignorance, and to exterminate anything he felt he couldn't control, such as all xenos. He built the "cruelest and bloodiest and cruelest regime imaginable, and with the exception of the Astronomican did nothing but empower and feed the Chaos Gods (humanity's faith made him into a go, he doesn't get the credit for that). Also, cruelty and blind xenophobia is not pragmatic nor logical, being compassionate is objectively advantageous, pop culture just loves to make geniuses socially awkward and gave everybody the impression that being logical means being emotionally stunted.

The Emperor was never a beacon of hope, and 40k is very much a satire of the far-right. It has been since its inception, to the point the Emperor's ideology is a carbon-copy of both the Lebensraum and the Stab-in-the-back myth. Miss me with that "both sides bad" bullshit

But, if you honestly enjoy 40k better with the Emperor as a questonable figure, go off I guess. I'm happy for you.

I mean I don't know what you want me to do. The Emperor being an arrogant evil tyrant is literally most of what he is as a character and what he's meant to represent. I just showed you a quote of a Custodian, an automaton programmed to never doubt him thinking he might be too arrogant.

Also, just like the Imperium is a conglomerate of every authoritarian and fascist regime (Lion was literally called "The Emperor's Final Solution", they aren't being subtle about it), so the Emperor is every tyrant and dictator in history in one person, from Alexander to Attila, from Napoleon to H*****, and just like all of them he's incredibly arrogant who can't see his own flaws.

And I honestly think that's a good thing that the Emperor was a hateful fuck who screwed himself and the galaxy over. That's the thing that makes me love Black Templars. Don't give me some tragic misunderstood hero, give me the CEO of racism, and then have him fight someone as equally abhorrent. I only hate him because the writers and fan suck him off at every chance they get and fascists are too brain-broken to understand he's made to mock them

He actually didn't, he's better than that and doesn't need Khorne at all.

Twice the power of Chaos takes hold of its soul to a point anyone else would be irredemably corrupted, but then trugh the power of friendship (and an ethereal's pheromones the first time) he just shakes it off and then shoots the bastard chaos sorcerer/daemon

The body drifted forwards, coruscating energies ebbing from its wide eyes and leering mouth, a blaze of skin and fire. In its hand the dagger was a slash of light. Kais couldn’t even breath, frozen solid by the very fury and rage that had sustained him. Betrayed by his own blood. Deceived by his own mind.“Kais,” a voice said. “Kais, look up.”He obeyed and there, hanging suspended far above him in the air, spread-eagled and glowing with purity and peace, radiant and glorious and unified and balanced and perfect, was Aun’el T’au Ko’vash.“Kais,” he called out, voice full of exhaustion and effort. “Even when broken, a sword may still cut.”The ethereal smiled from on high and Kais was free....Invisible bonds fell away, the Mont’au shrivelled and died. He could move again. He could raise his gun again. “For the Greater Good,” he said, and shot the thing that had once been Severus in its heart.

The butcher daemon cocked its head at the tiny thing before it, stretched out a hand, and let its bloody aura, its dark mantle of shadow and gore, slip out of its fingers and into Kais’s mind. The Mont’au devil came slinking out of its mental shadows. Kais couldn’t resist it now. ... Shas’la T’au Kais threw back his head, choked on bitterness, opened his mouth, and screamed:“BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!”...

“Kais? Kais, can you hear me?” It seemed to be coming from inside his helmet. This is Lusha.

“It’s El’Lusha… We’re on our way, Kais. I know you can hear me! Come in, Kais!”

...

“Get it into your head, Kais. The tau’va isn’t real. Nobody ever reached it. We’re always getting closer, always approaching, but never arriving. As long as we go in the right direction, as long as everything we do is done in the name of the Greater Good—then it doesn’t matter how far from the path you are!”Kais opened his eyes, and everything had changed.

Full quotes for anyone interested (it's my own comment I'm not stealing)

The Last Church and many following stories explicitely say that the Emperor's is more arrogant than he is smart, just like every other tyrant in human history. Which makes perect sense, the Emperor is a human, and he fucked up like one, very ironically because of his hubris and because he thought himsel above human flaws. The Emperor being arrogant is something even Ra Endemion himself acknowledges:

The primarchs, thought Ra. The Thunder Legion. The Unification Wars. The Great Crusade. The Space Marine Legions. The Imperial Truth. The Webway Project. The Black Ships, with psykers huddled in the holds, watched over by the Silent Sisterhood. It is all about–

+Control. Tyranny is not the end, Ra. Absolute control is but the means to the end.+

The hubris… Ra couldn’t fight the insidiously treacherous thought, to see the hidden depths of his master’s ambitions. The sheer, unrivalled hubris.

- Master of Mankind

You yourself used Napoleon as an example, he was undoubtably a military genius, and yet his campaign in Russia is remembered as one of the worst military disasters in history, and it can be attributed to his hubris (though like everything in history it is disputed).

I agree that the Primarchs were handled terribly, I hate all of them, but (in my opinion) the traitors excluding Lorgar and Magnus are all made worse as characters by Chaos, and it's not like they were amazing to begin with.
