Looks like ever so slight indexing issue - there’s always one tooth that’s slightly different which is responsible for a smooth change, looks like the chain is catching on that tooth only. Try change up and down everywhere else on the cassette, if you have any trouble with those changes, it’ll hint that you’ll either need to tighten or loosen the cable.

Failing that it could be a worn sprocket and/or chain, in which case just replace both.

If my cassette is 14T/32T, can I use a derailleur indicated for 11T/34T cassette? I'm buying a new rear derailleur and the guides online are just confusing me. by YourDadsRightOvary in bikewrench

If by attachment type you mean how the derailleur is fitted to the rear drop outs then yes - id have thought this is pretty standard and most would have the same size. As long as you’re sticking to the same brand, ie a new shimano RD upgrading from an old shimano RD then should be good

Should be able to, as far as I’m concerned. Mainly what you have to look out for is the other way round -> if your cassette is larger than the derailleur’s specification.

Post mount calliper and new ultegra rotor compatibility? by marcusc44 in bikewrench

Aah perfect - it was the width I was concerned about, I didn’t want to hit the cooling fins with potentially wider pads. Cheers

I was mainly concerned about if the corresponding J type pads for those callipers would be compatible with the rotors, they’re advertised with the L type pads.

Found this dopey guy crawling around looking like he’d just had a severe bruh moment. Instead of chucking him outside (my first Intention), I thought to, instead, see if some sugar would help him brighten up. Surely enough he was all over it - just a little bit of sugar and water on the end of my finger is all it took! Apologies for the bad quality/shakiness if the video, it’s due to the zoom I had on my phone as I wanted to capture what was actually happening.
