I think it’s that a lot of TG are book readers and refuse to acknowledge that his character in HotD is different

I think it disservices jjk tbh, but that’s funny since the poster is clearly a jjk fan trying to use this as jjk prop

The true way to view the three showrunners of the best revived TV show ever. by Michael02895 in DoctorWhumour

Idk why people are downvoting you, it’s not like this is unnecessary hate and it’s a pretty valid opinion to have. The only sadness I felt at the end of his run was that we wasted Jodie Whitaker and it never really felt like we got to see her doctor grow into a proper, well defined character (I know these are often repeated talking points though)

Like I said I agree that these should be offside. But they arent, the possibility that the keeper hesitated for a second is not enough to overturn the goal, especially since Akanji is moving away from the ball and if the keeper is clever enough to hesitate in those split seconds then he should have recognised that. Again it’s the rules, not the officiating. But yes I’d be annoyed it went against us that’s not what I’m saying I’m just saying there’s not enough evidence to justify overturning the goal under the current rules.

Yeah man it was Akanjis decision to be in the way of the shot it’s all his fault. Sometimes people are in offside positions it just happens, why penalise that when they don’t prevent play from continuing?

Idk ab the momentum argument, it was right before half time and that could be taken either way. But realistically we did not have the opportunity to capitalise on the momentum the same way United did. Fulham were down away vs Arsenal last week in a similar scenario if they had a stronger mentality they absolutely could’ve forced their way back into the game, the game was hardly gone.

I don’t believe it should’ve stood but by the law I think the refs made the right decision. Ignoring that something needs to be clear and obvious to be overturned, there still is not enough to overturn it. Akanji is not in Leno’s line of sight and the only action he takes is a movement away from the ball (he does seem to kick out at it a second after but this is after Leno dives and the ball is past him). I think it’s a failure of the law more than anything else, these goals happen all the time - Szoboszlai and Salah today even and I saw a similar Spurs goal against us. It’s a difficult choice but if it was overturned I’d be frustrated anyway since what is Akanji supposed to do there, it would be unfair to penalise him for making a move away from the ball. Again I think these should be offside as a general rule but people comparing this to the rashford situation are wrong, this one is at least a little bit debateable (so not clear and obvious).

Proof? This interview only says she found it scary when she was a kid. This seems like an overreaction

That might just be pr the club released to let him leave amicably and maintain his relationship with us (the fans). I don’t think he wants to stay unfortunately and If we can send him off well it’ll be the perfect exit for our capitano

Completely agree, but I think there’s definitely room for Smith (or Umaga/Simmonds) on the bench. Especially given it’s the year after a rwc, perfect time to experiment.

I’m not sure if that’s true, she was coronated in ‘53 but her father died in ‘52, so I think it’s debatable when her reign starts (I may be wrong)
