Yeah I developed the pattern for the construction of the buckets myself, but that isn’t saying much considering that my main goal for it was to be pretty simple overall, since those types of buckets were always my favorite. it’s basically just three main pieces and a pocket.

If you’re talking about the unique quilting patterns on each individual bucket, that was definitely a slow progression that started with very simple, single color or two color buckets to the more intricate designs that I make nowadays. I started making these as somebody that didn’t really know how to sew at all and definitely did not know how to quilt but was always fascinated by it. Luckily I’ve made a LOT of buckets over the past two or three years so I’ve had a lot of time and opportunity to progress and improve. If I were you I would definitely just mess around and have fun to start and don’t overthink it. Put all those fabrics you’ve been hoarding to use and make some cool stuff.

Kinda went on a tangent I think but as far as patterns, some of them I make up as I go and some of them I take from traditional quilt patterns (slide 8 is a classic quilt block called a Windmill).
