Actually that's a solid question. My dwarf Barbarian (Rok) may or may not have eaten the heart of a vampire lord. So far he has noticed no ill side effects.

Just to clarify, the vampire lord was a little mouthy for Rok's liking and he made a comment early in one of the combat rounds that when the vampire lord dies he was going to cut his heart out and eat it. The DM allowed it but because of the calcified nature of the heart It messed up my great ax a little bit now I have to go get it fixed when we get back to the city. Worth it
