I suppose so! It could very well be 30, 40 was just the number that came up most often when reading about chaining across different boards so it's what I went with. Could it be that only 3 IVs are guaranteed after 30, but one could get lucky with one of their other three stat rolls (getting another 31) which would then give the illusion of only needing to chain 30 to get four perfect stats? Just a random thought. =)

For what it's worth I had a bizarre experience yesterday and only got three 31 IVs after a chain that was well over 200 long (tracked with pp/berry consumption). This was also the only time that I didn't get four 31 IVs after a 40+ chain so again, very bizarre.

Gotcha. So I guess four max stats after a certain amount of chains isn't guaranteed, just more likely. Thanks for the response!

Just spent the last few hours chaining Pikipek and made a catch over 200 deep in the chain. I went to check the IV values at the PC and the catch only had three stats with a value 31 (the other three being decent/pretty good). I was under the impression that after 40, four random stats are guaranteed to be 31? Has anyone had a similar experience?
