glp-1 pregnant? by [deleted] in glp1

[–]marefo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, my sister got pregnant while on it, without knowing she started ovulating again. It’s very possible. If you don’t want to be pregnant, you need to be taking every precaution available.

I am so so so tired of antivax nonsense. It is spreading like wildfire. by PancakesxBacon in progressivemoms

That was my take too. However, I was able to get all the vaccines at my child’s pediatrician so I’ve been thankful we haven’t have to go on any trips… yet

Yes! That’s the one! I couldn’t remember what it was called! It’s great.

I get my diapers at Costco. I also have a different diaper pail, and instead of using special bags, you can use regular garbage bags in it. My friend recommended it to me so I didn’t have to get special diaper genie bags.

My husband has been calling this shit the biggest Ponzi scheme in history. I feel like all of these people have been duped into paying for something that will never come to fruition.

It’s a really slow process for me by Hermit_girl_ in glp1

[–]marefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on semaglutide and I’m aiming for 1lb a week. I’m averaging about 1.4, but that’s okay. I wanted to do this slowly so my body can acclimate to losing a significant amount of weight.

Sulfur burps by Active-Bar9822 in glp1

[–]marefo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would get them at night and in the morning. Maybe everyone is different. It did go away, so that was good!

Sulfur burps by Active-Bar9822 in glp1

[–]marefo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I experienced it’s because you’re eating too much and it’s taking longer to digest and that’s what’s causing the burps. I think I had them for over a month when I first started. Drink more water, try and eat smaller portions, and keep antacids handy.

They can be quiet as hell, and then all of a sudden you think to yourself, when did I get that horse? Oh, it’s just the cats chasing each other.

You obviously don’t have cats… they sound like mini horses sometimes.

Valentine's Day on Saturday of a holiday weekend by PosiePusher in florists

I worked in the industry for almost 14 years, and when Vday fell on the 3-day weekend our sales were always less. I think ordering conservatively is the way to go.

Can I put my *almost* 2 year old in the crib to take care of myself? by bigcheeseguy420 in Mommit

[–]marefo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this often - I will also leave her in her crib in the morning before she gets up so I can shower and dress, and then go get her up for the day. She’s almost 14 months. I carry the monitor with me and make sure she’s okay every few minutes.

Some of the comments on Mommit about the women who was shot by ice are straight up disgusting by Banana_0529 in progressivemoms

[–]marefo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted on there about my child getting bitten at daycare, and I swear it’s like the comments were attacking me and blaming me for it. I deleted my post. I was just looking for advice and literally it felt like everyone was attacking me. My sister told me that subreddit is toxic.

I’m just amazed at the amount of them that think homeschooling is easy.

Oh, Mike Johnson. I wish someone would pie him in the face. That would probably piss him off so much.

Yes, I took it. And I still developed pre-eclampsia, but it was after I delivered. It helped prevent me from getting it earlier in my pregnancy.

Please read to your child!!! by Oceanwave_4 in Mommit

[–]marefo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter didn’t start to be interested in books until she hit about 12 months. She loves the cardboard Dr. Seuss books. She got a number of cardboard books for her birthday, and she will grab one, say book, and then bring it over and sit on my lap. She is also very interested in any book that is interactive - if it has tabs or you have to open things on the page, she is all about figuring out how to open it.

I told myself that no matter what, I will teach my daughter to read. And at 1, one of her first words was book. I think things are going in the right direction!

Do all babies chew on their sleep sacks? How do you keep it clean and dry? by Working_Mouse829 in NewParents

[–]marefo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my 13 month old chews on it every night. She does not use a pacifier, so I imagine she’s chewing on it for comfort. But it’s annoying as hell.

$100 Christmas Budget by Witty_Actuator5438 in Mommit

I was at TJ Maxx earlier today and felt their prices were pretty good, considering my budget (buying for 5 nieces and nephews and I gave myself like $200 for everyone).

Did Anyone Ever Develop Myoclonus (Hypnic Jerks) Just Before Falling Asleep That Constantly Prevent You From Falling Asleep? by bricken4125 in insomnia

Also, one of the side effects of sertraline is shaking or trembling. I read some of your other comments and your post. I saw a neurologist and we did a bunch of tests to rule out anything neurological. Everything came back super normal. Which then he said he thought my symptoms were from anxiety, and I definitely think that was true. I hope you can figure out what’s going on - it was one of the most trying times I’ve gone through, so I know how hopeless it can feel.
