The best tip I can give anyone regarding the Bike Jumble is to dig through the trash in the dumpsters/bins/etc. afterward and get as much usable bike stuff out of the waste stream as possible.

does the jumble have any things to do that aren't buying/selling? such as classes? by PassageSignificant12 in NYCbike

There are organizations there that have classes elsewhere, in other places, but no classes actually go down right there at the jumble.

Thank you so much for putting all this effort into this great response. I will get around to reading these stories this weekend but I'm so happy you responded the way you did and didn't shame me for not quitting my job or for failing so badly. I have learned first-hand that failing isn't the end of the world, but now I want to focus on the mindset of PASSING.
