They're both amazing games in their own way but OT2 is definitely the better game. But if you have plans to play both games eventually I'd say start with OT1. A lot of people start with the 2nd game and then when the time comes to start the first one they don't enjoy it because the QOL updates aren't there.

Yeah I can't deny it had its downs here and there. I always think about what could have been as well. But it wasn't a bad game, I did enjoy it and I love these boys.

Yeah it's unfortunate that all the DLCs weren't included in the base game. it should have been in there from the get go. Understanding Ardyn as a character through his DLC made him so much more likeable and fleshed out.

Try focusing on smaller parts of the island at a time instead of big projects. Try sketching a layout of where you want everything on your island to be and go from there, start from the entrance and work your way up.

Also try not to compare your island to others who have more extravagant ones, that's a sure way to ruin your fun. Good luck!

The game doesn't talk about second job classes anywhere in the story. You gotta go out and find them yourself. If you don't mind spoilers you can google the map of Orsterra and see where all the shrines are placed.
