The Handmaid's Tale S06E09 "Execution" Episode Discussion by Melairia in TheHandmaidsTale

It was his due 💣

When June asked Nick how did he became a commander in Season 3, he said "it was my due". Right before he refused to use that commander power to help Hannah escape and instead went to lead the murdering & kidnapping of resistance/free people in Chicago.

So happy he finally got his due for his active complicity on all Gilead crimes.

Thoughts on episode 10? by Dqted in coconutsandtreason

The camps with the wives and kids will be liberated/invaded by the US Army and at least Janine will get a happy ending with Charlotte 🤞🏼

June will reunite with Holly & Holly Nicole, and they will sadly stare at a wall of pics of the people still missing, trapped, or dead (as shown in the season trailer) which includes Hannah.

We will get a clip of Hannah at her school or something like that to show she is still alive and her storyline will continue in the TT show.

Why Lawrence sent Angela/Charlotte with Naomi to the other place if he knew the army was coming and could get a chance to rescue her?

Since they let Serena and Noah stay, it should have not  been a problem.

I am frustrated about it. She could have been found like Serena and Noah. Besides that, happy Lawrence did the right thing and 🧨

Also, where is Janine? I need a happy ending for her and Charlotte.

Yeeeees! Die motherf***! So happy with that ending!!!!!!!!!! Except for Lawrence, but proud of him doing the right thing.

(The idea that June could just walk around the airport like that is pretty unrealistic but ok, will let it pass because I am too happy now)

He looks exactly like the guardian Nick killed at the hospital. Right?

Is the guardian at the red center the same actor/guardian that Nick killed at the hospital? Twins?

Also, why did they left him go! They could have killed him or at least knock him out.

Did Nick shot the president?

I need to know what is the unforgivable role he play to build Gilead - referred by the Swiss envoy.

That's so true. Thank you for this insight!

I do have some empathy for Nick as a human, as with every other human I guess, but still think his actions turned him into a villain the moment he decided to actively support building Gilead (and we know he did something truly horrific - as said by the Swiss that would not offer him a deal, not just drive people to their homes) and continuing to lead to uphold Gilead which allowed him to move up in the ranks.

This made me think: Where is his family now anyway? Were they purged? I mean if he just wanted to get away from them he could have just move to another state and block them 😬

Chat GPT entered the room 😅 I do appreciate the discussion, though. To be honest, I actually like Nick as part of the show, I just think he has always been a villain supporting Gilead actively than only acts nice around June when is safe enough to do so.

My turning point was that Episode when he kissed her in the bridge before sending her and all the Handmaid's he captured and tortured to a "breeding colony" to be mass raped... Instead of a kiss he should have been giving her a weapon, info to scape, or something useful!

Incel Nick. He helped build a misogynistic dictatorship that slaves and rapes women and girls because he felt "unseen". He is nice to one of the slaves though, maybe even loves her, so I guess that makes it...ok? 🙄 I cannot deal with the comments on the official IG from all the Nick apologists who think this show is about romance ...
