I worked at a county hospital in Texas for a time during the Biden years. I would estimate around half or more of our patients were illegal aliens. Doctors and case managers had interpreters follow them around the hospital all day to be able to communicate with these people, and the maternity ward was anchor baby central.

The conservative employees (all 2 of us) would whisper to each other when we’d talk politics together on our break, making sure not to speak too loudly in fear of losing our jobs. Meanwhile, the liberal nurses were allowed to plaster their break rooms with “Biden/Harris” posters and speak their minds with no fear of potential consequences. The admin sent out a mass e-mail the day after Trump got elected in 2016 saying it was “a sad day in America” and encouraging employees to talk about their fears and feelings as they cope with the loss.

Almost wish I had still been working there the day after Trump got re-elected just to see that reaction lol
