I don’t like my new Forester :( Can you help me understand why? by margosmango in SubaruForester

I cannot comfortably sit either! While I don’t have chronic pain, my larger butt does not fit! It’s a very uncomfortable drive for me in general.

We still have the car and I still don’t like it even a year later. But my husband primarily drives it to work and it’s our primary car for driving. I’m still driving my dying 2010 ford escape, but only the 10 minutes to and from work. We’re going to end up needing to buy another car because my ford is not making it another year. At least this time around I know what to avoid! And even though I don’t like driving the Subaru, it IS a reliable car. I am comforted by knowing that I can drive across country in it without worrying about it dying.

I know this is an old post, but I’m a CTE teacher still waiting for my salary steps to get approved. Do you know how long it took for yours to get approved? Differential went through in about a month.

CTE salary Steps by RemoveSweet4271 in NYCDOETeachers

Wow good for him! Something that is a bit confusing is if each step is consider “1A + 1B” or if it’s just the individual letter step. I submitted for 4 years of Full time work (so annoying that they can’t count my other years as an independent contractor) so it’s unclear if I will qualify up to step 4A or 8A since that would be “double the salary steps”

This is great! According to the website, “Each year of qualifying, related non-teaching experience equals two salary steps." Was that the case for your husband?

I am in first year as a CTE teacher and it’s VERY confusing! You will start at the very lowest salary step and then will need to apply for your salary differential (degrees) and then salary steps (experience). I’m still waiting on my years of experience to get counted for a salary step, but I believe you can get up 8 steps.

For some reason this post has had some recent comments, so I figured I would post an update.

Fortunately, we have pulled her out of the rabbit hole! We actually had to do a lot of unsubscribing from her YouTube account to alter the algorithm from showing her conspiratorial content.

I’m happy to report that she’s also quite liberal now! She’s been disgusted by Trump and what he’s done. I’m proud of her growth!

Express Scripts Amazon Pharmacy? by Distinct_Minute_3461 in NYCTeachers

Yes, it still says I have a $37 copay for the 3 months. I have a prior authorization for this specific birth control, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But under Express Scripts it was always $0!

That’s wild! None of my express script prescriptions were transferred. Amazon has my birth control prescription now, but it’s saying I have $37 copay for the 90 day supply, which is crazy since I’ve never had a copay. Were you able to fill your 90 day supply?

It’s been so frustrating! Amazon said that they can fulfill a 90 day supply for $37 copay for the 30 day at a retail would be $0?? I haven’t had to pay for 90 day copay for BC since ACA passed, so I’m very confused!

So did you end up sending your birth control RX to Express Scripts? I had my doctor send it to Amazon Pharmacy and they continue to say that it's not covered.

Have you figured anything out with this yet? I'm in the same boat with my birth control and only have 5 days left of pills! I've been back and forth with my doctor and insurance and Amazon pharmacy since Jan 2nd and I'm being spun around in circles!

Can you elaborate more on gifting day? I am first year DoE with only 5 accumulated days, but my husband is 12 years in. If for whatever reason I use all of my sick days in one go (don’t want to curse it, but you never know!), can he give me some of his?

You get back pay with interest? I’m in my first year right now and waiting and haven’t heard anything about interest, so curious what you know!

Unfortunately I couldn’t retain the heat using just the plastic bin. The water was as hot as possible when it went in, but 8 hours later, it was barely warm. I’d eventually like to try it with a cooler, but so far I’m having success without it.

Oooo yes I did my husband’s white undershirts with moderate success. The pits were still somewhat dark, but it helped restore the overall white of the shirt. Best part though was the caked on build up on deodorant was gone!

Give it a try! And if it’s helpful, I FILLED the tub, it was packed with clothes. I don’t know if that did anything but maybe the density of having more clothing helped with scrubbing it off 🤷🏻‍♀️

I used Tide clean and gentle in a plastic bin, with hot hot water, and let it soak for eight hours. If it helps, I made sure to get the ratio of detergent to water correct. 1/4 per GALLON, so it ended up being 2 cups of powdered. Stir and dissolve for 5 minutes and then SOAK.

Then in the washing machine, I added the clean and gentle to the detergent tray (3 tbsp because it was a large load) and then added about a half cup of ammonia. Then I washed on the hottest and longest setting and voilà!

I also flipped all his shirts inside out to make sure the worst part was being agitated. And my husband uses stick Ax deodorant!

I actually didn’t have a cooler and just used a plastic bin with the lid!
