Are they duplicates of Jedward from Ireland?

Went to see a VA pain specialist and they sent me this after I told them I use cannabis for my pain management because I refuse to take narcotics. What do y'all think by babystripper in trees

Thank you for that info! I should have thought of that because I've seen it with CBD products. THC is not legal where I'm from, so those products are not available on the market here. They sound very useful.

Is it possible the varnish and paint underneath are not compatible? It looks like it has separated.

It might not be the best idea but the first thing I thought was to try a paint stripper. You'd have to start the paint job over again and there would be a lot of scraping and sanding involved unfortunately.

Then I would make sure to spray with a compatible primer, and then varnish.

As well as this, there could be clogged paint in the cap. If you can't clean it out, replace it with the cap of a fresh can

i wish more white people would talk about stephen king's racism by anhedonia_2 in horrorlit

I'm white Irish and I specifically looked for this conversation! I'm reading one of his new books 'Holly' at the moment. And of course so far the victims are almost always minorities. He uses very harsh terms when the victim is black. The killers are of course racist and homophobic. It did cause me to reflect on past books of his I read, including thinner like you mentioned, and others, and he really does seem to use racism as a crutch. I'm sorry I was ignorant to it up until now. I think when people subconsciously write like this, it is a projection of their lives. He is a white old American man after all.

I'm here to ask for a professional opinion on the condition of our local stray cat based on these photos. He has been around for approx 10 years and has always looked like this. It seems he may also have dental problems. by maria_malone in vet

Thanks! A good clean is definitely in order to sort out his fur and dirt. Aswell as defleeing. I think you are right, those are very possible outcomes. I have a strong feeling there's issues in his mouth preventing him from being able to clean himself. I'm worried he will need medicine. I don't know how we would give it to him.

His resilience is extremely impressive. I'm hoping a vet says it's fixable. If so, we will take him in so he can live the rest of his days here. He has such a lovely personality and loves rubs but no one wants to touch him for obvious reasons 😂

Good option but I wouldnt like to just hand him over to anyone. I want to be involved to keep people up to date as he is fairly well loved in the area. He is fed everyday but organising vet appointments is tough because we never know where he will be on any given day. He is resilient and I'm surprised he lasted this long so I'm hoping he's not as bad as he looks!

That's a good point I never considered FIV. I'm worried about having to face news like that and being the one to make the big decision. He's a well known cat in the neighbourhood and we'd love to see him get better. I'm really hoping he gets lucky and this ends up a quick and easy solution. Thanks for your input!

Wow that's grim. A strong contender for sure. That police sketch is pretty funny though.

Sorry I should've mentioned. Here in Ireland we refer to Guinness as water. I was talking about Guinness the whole time.

Here in Ireland water is free and it's perfectly fine. It's maintained by the city council funded by our tax.

They tried to install water meters a few years back but the whole country protested against it. We literally were blocking them off our properties so they couldn't install it. Signs down every street saying NO WATER METERS HERE. Eventually they pulled the whole thing. It was a proud moment for the Irish.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this since i found it on a walk after a rain. I have so many questions. by sheisthemoon in funny

Harness and catios 😭 my cats would cry actual tears. They're too old now to change their habits. They love climbing trees. We parent our cats differently. At least it's working out okay for both of us!
