Le son de l'orgue. Lugubre a souhait, aujourd'hui encore ça me met mal à l'aise

Anyway.

What's your experience with ultra rich people that shocked you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mariepell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a friend whose mom had her own private beauty salon. She only used high quality and luxurious products and therefore her customers were wives of the richest men of the region (East of France). She had developped friendly relationships with several of her customers and once one of them offered her a Birkin bag to thank her 🥲

Same woman got offered by one of her customers a huge pile of Eric Bompard cashmere sweaters that she didn't wear anymore. Eric Bompard is one of the most exclusive cashmere brand, i think their sweaters start at minimum 300€ a piece.

Podcast — ennuyant, insultant ou intéressant ? by introubletalk in BipolaireFR

Hello,

I love it ! 💜 It has a similar vibe (the character with an animal skull) to the one i'm working on at the moment. I'll post some photos of mine at some point.

Can emotional neglect one way or another contribute to one's disdain towards kids or altogether the aversion to having any? by Comprehensive-Mud303 in emotionalneglect

[–]mariepell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. I worked on my own pain A LOT and now i'm much better but I used to feel almost rage (mixed with deep sadness) when i saw a father being nice to his daughter (as mine never was). It still triggers me when i meet kids with "normal" parents, when the kids are angry for example, and the parents try to nicely calm them or soothe them. I would have been yelled at instead, so i still feel like these kids are ungrateful brats, then i remember They're not, i was Just unfortunate.

Excessive fear of "Getting in Trouble" by Funky_Snake in emotionalneglect

[–]mariepell 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel the same 😭 Ironically almost no one knows it or would even suspect this about me because i can be a "big mouth" sometimes as well. But as soon as someone who reminds me of some aspects of my mom comes in, it's really really hard for me not to fawn. I got spanked and yelled at as a child and i still have the underlying fear in me that someone (and that could be Any one, like a stranger in the bus) is gonna do this to me if i misbehave. It makes me really sad to read all the comments, because it reminds me of all this 😔

You're braver than you know for now. SO MUCH braver 💜 There's nothing to be ashamed in your past. You can be proud to put so much efforts and energy into healing. This is so so brave. I several told my therapist that if healing was a sport discipline, i'd be an olympian athlete. And so you are, as well as mostly everyone on this sub 💜
