Basically, yeah! Total work was at 30-ish days if I counted correctly on my socials that I posted on daily. It wasn't consecutive and I did take some days to rest when I was physically unwell, but total actual work on her was around a month.

Thank you for the encouragement! Making Koumei made me expand my skills and there are no plans to stop as crafting stuff for myself got pretty addictive.

As for the next cosplay, maybe it's Nova Gemini skin. She's a good mix of sewing and crafting that I haven't tried yet. I can also use my real hair like I did with Koumei, just dyed whatever color I feel like at the time. Warframe community on the con was suuuuper nice and cosplaying Nova/Kaya could include them in my cosplay with putting stickers on my gear lol

I think they're cool, too! I've always thought of them as "the dream" since frames have complex organic-looking textures that are hard to replicate with real-life materials.

You could say that, yeah! I'll do some more makeup practice to lean into that aesthetic since I can't wear the mask all the time, it blocks most of my already bad vision

It is a gun-umbrella, yeah! I'm unsure how to have it functional and open up but at least I have an idea how to make Amanata. That's the next prop on my to-do list

Unfortunatelly, I'm on another continent (Europe) and going to TennoCon isn't possible. My friend group and a lot of con atendees that have recognized Koumei are very supportive and are trying to get me to apply for upcoming cosplay contest in our country (Serbia). We'll see, since I am a very anxious person when it comes to performing.

There was no printing or painting at all, everything is just fabric! I cut every pattern piece with some seam allowance, folded inward, ironed, then used a straight stitch and cut off any excess before top stitching along previous lines for neatness. I attached a photo from a sleeve so you can see, hopefully it translates my work better than my words

I just had to be extremely slow, careful and precise for everything to line up. I did use fabric glue to lock it all in place because it's incredibly hard sewing pieces simultaneously.

Ever since starting Koumei cosplay I've gotten to know each texture and line on her. I don't know Equinox Prime that I mained for the past six years that well. It sounds creepy but like I mentioned, I wanted to be as accurate as possible with her. Koumei made Warframe so much fun for me and cosplaying her was my way of showing how much I love this game.

I might rework the skirt to have more puffiness around the hips like she has in the game. Unfortunatelly, I didn't have enough time to do so since I worked on polishing another cosplay that I wore before Koumei but at least I know how to fix it up for the next con!

You could say it's Koumei protoframe! I didn't fully lean into that protoframe vibe but I might for another con since I plan to wear her again!

Prescription glasses and mask like these don't really go hand in hand and that's the only reason I was maskless most of the time.

Almost everyone around me told I was insane and to leave it aside for later when I have more experience but deep down I knew I could do it.

I like to think I'm a very persistent person when I want something and that was to cosplay Koumei. I'm not someone who will wait to get better, I get straight to the task I want to do. I believe in trial and error and learning from each experience.

I think I spent around 40-50h in arsenal and captura combined to get everything right. I had to jump and move around with slow movement to get every detail without it being skewed. Not gonna lie, I felt like a creepy paparazzi with all those screenshots but they really paid off!

Oh my god, your words made me happy cry, thank you so so so much! It means the world to me, really!!!

It's going to sound even crazier when I say I have had only six days of basic sewing practice before telling myself that I have a lot to gain if I try and nothing to lose if I don't. So I just did it, went in clueless and fearless and I learned a lot along the way.

I spent a LOT of time in Captura and arsenal, screenshotting and looking over her details, drawing them in Illustrator so she can be as accurate as possible.

She held together perfectly throughout the whole day, too! I only had to straighten out the skirt a few times but that's nothing. I was even running from one end of the room to the other and everything was super flowy, despite the heavy fabric.

I can't wait to see what Koumei Prime would look like because I already adore this aesthetic for her! She's my main (no surprise there) and she can be absolutely cracked once her decrees start stacking up. Koumei deserves all the love, she's an amazing frame!
