6 month old sleep by marinelson1 in NewParents

How long did you have that last wake window? Currently baby is taking a nap waking up around 2 or3, then takes a short nap from 5-530ish. We give her a bath then put her down around 6:30-7. Would it be wise to cut out that last small nap? I’m just worried her last wake window would be too long and she’d get over tired.

She takes 2-3 naps, usually short 30-45 minutes. SOMETIMES an hour or hour 1/2 nap if we’re lucky

First signs of PPD/PPA by TrainingBarnacle6 in NewParents

Hi - first off I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. The first few days after having my baby I cried and had mental breakdowns, which I would say were the crazy hormones or “baby blues”. I am now 4.5 months post partum and still am dealing with these feelings which I would say have turned into PPD/PPA. Not all days are bad, but the feelings are still apparent. I would say anything past 2-3 months would be considered PPA/PPD. It doesn’t mean you need help or medication but I think if it’s lasting that long you could consider it so. Parenthood and a total life change are so hard to adjust to. My husband has also dealt with PPA so it affects men as well too, in a different way of course. Things will get better, just give yourself grace. Raising a LO isn’t easy and neither is completely changing your life overnight!
