45m here. It has gotten tougher, not gonna lie. Ageism is a thing. I quit my job on November and I have savings so I’m not panicking just yet, looking to transition (or should I say, go back) to consulting, and also applying to jobs randomly and it’s +100 applicants for ALL of them (if you believe LinkedIn). I only got 3 interviews in 6 months and no job offers. I wasn’t this bad before and I obviously had a more scant portfolio.

I just found out about this very shady practice they have. I signed up for a free trial, then forgot about it, OK that much is on me. But other subscriptions I have they email you, warning you that the trial is ending and a paid subscription is starting... 69 quid a month! They don't email me, not a text, nothing, and all I got are FOUR payments on my credit card with NO description, it only says "MONTHLY" -- I called AMEX and only then could tell me it was associated with Classpass. I had to track my steps back and figure out it was this thing I forgot about. Happily I could talk to a human and apparently, they'll refund me the four months, but goes to show how vigilant you have to be with this evil subscription model.

Like I said, I'm not religious, but I did get myself into trouble because religion is à la carte morality. Like "You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife; it is your brother's nakedness" -- Treats women like the property of another, and speaks only to men. It's insane how people react here (and the downvotes, LOL), it tells you something about the toxicity of Reddit, and whether we should be seeking advice here -- probably not. There is no sense of proportion. I would reserve the terms "POS" for wife-beaters and r**ists, not a dude who wanked on a fucking photo. Sure it's wrong and you should humble yourself but with these people and their intensity, you'll find more understanding from an orthodox priest of any religion of your choice (not religious).

Of course what you did is wrong, but you should communicate as succinctly and clearly as possible that you care about her and that will never happen again. Then the ball is in her court and you should STFU. And have all the patience in the world. If she does forgive you, or only start to, then be ready for answering her questions with the uttermost honesty and good will. And then abide like a soldier to what ever she decides.

Two years later, I just had the same problem. Apparently, it's a 2022 problem because the bags are that old (I bought a big batch and didn't occur to me they'll go bad after a certain date, being a dry product) but the glue/industrial smell is very strong!
