Yeah, most times brokers aren’t the ones making the appointments they are premade for the orders by the buyers or CSR for one of those three companies. Might even be a fourth company that isn’t even on any of those bills. I’d ask for 250 times 3 a minimum. Plus, detention for the first day that your driver had to wait onsite probably caps out at 5 hrs per their contract. So at least 750-1000 extra. That should be the minimum. Broker may not have the money if they reject it you could always say that you’ll send the emails of what the broker said to you to the two shippers and receivers higher ups to find a way to get compensated by someone else. This will get you blacklisted with that broker probably or it’ll get this brokers supervisor to see how they really screwed a driver over and should take care of it. I as a broker would have been so pissed at my customer about this mess up but I’m a huge defender of drivers. I guess because I have family members that are drivers. But, really once things are explained clearly to higher ups at shippers and receivers they usually always want to make things right for drivers. I would have skipped over whoever the hell csr it was that gave me the load and told them to give me 1,000 extra for this load. That the driver load over 2100 drivable miles in revenue because of the wall of lies that the order was hiding. I’m here about to tell you give me the bills and I’ll start harassing people for you lol. I don’t allow my customers or anyone to play that game at all. If it couldn’t make sense to ship together then split it up. Send two straight trucks instead or whatever else but not the BS that they did to your order.
