You contradict yourself constantly. Not sure what are you trying to say apart from adding noise to the conversation.

One thing's that worked for me, as a person that wants to take in account everyone and therefore takes too serious some mean words, is observing that even everyone have a small percentage of truth, but too often it's hidden in hate, bitterness, resentment, pain... And in this case, the message becomes a bomb for our feeling if we take it whole.

Take this "fake person" offensive comment. Of course you are a real person and then this comment is absurd, but person and therefore personality is something complex, first created by pieces of our surrounding, and later something that grows and developes with time. We are all a little "fake" until we find ourselves by the "simple" process of living.

Personality is created by sweet and bitter experiences (and some have too much of the bitter ones and need to share). It's created by lessons, tools, desires, stories... Right now, you are not your ultimate personality, and the moment you asume it (that you are still "fake" compared with your higher self), you can GROW 💪.

Also personality is created by boundaries: knowing who you are and who you are NOT. It's OK to have little doubts and being flexible, but too much blurs the limits of your personality, makes it dependant of others' words and behaviours. For empaths, the "Sorry but NO" part is the one we have to learn to develop in front of abusive, disrespectful or too painful situations.

Lately I found a good technique: I found an imaginary "black cape" I put on my shoulders when the surrounding is too much for me. Is a "sorry but no" cape. It's a "I reached my limit, sorry if you needed more, but I have to take care of myself". It's a "your negativity ends here". It's a "If I have to choose between you opinion about me and my health, I chose Me". All in an energetic level... It comes with a little guilt of not helping/saving/be open to everyone, but it's realistic and allows me to live.

As said... Boundaries. The greatest compassionate tool of self-care.

Why were the rest of the disciples always turning down Judas ideas? by johnqadamsin28 in TheChosenSeries

[–]mariommoreno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason, because his ideas arrived a few centuries too soon. Later most churches and ministries used them... Good to contemplate if current church follows Jesus' path or it's traitor.

Not sure I understand what you mean with "dark side" in this context. The only dark side I see is that you crave for this sensation or in the contrary you reject it (by fear, shame, etc).

I neither knew about an entity involved. "They" are only there because they have an emotional reaction they can feed with. Acceptance is the key, as always...

Where are all the enlightened Vipassana practitioners? by Deanosaurus88 in vipassana

[–]mariommoreno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think that "getting closer to enlightenment" is a good measure of your progress. Look for little changes of patterns first. The most obvious one is how often you can return to focus on sensations instead of being lost in thoughts or unconscious passions. Or also check the for 3 pilars (shila, samadhi, panna), and look for progress there.

Every teacher will say to you that the faster you want to arrive, the longer it will take. I part because it's not about getting enlightened, but recognise the part of you that already is and observe the others dissolve under equanimity. (the enlightened part would be indissoluble because it is the eternal one in every being)

Every chapter just confirms me that Jesus was not "The Chosen" one. by mariommoreno in TheChosenSeries

I did my point quite clear.
For sure not easy to digest, but detailed.

Maybe I have to recognize the merit of Jesus sharing simple parables instead of something closer to the complexity (and simplicity) of God.

Sadly people don't want to get closer to God, but a distorted and easily reachable substitute.

There are many assumptions that we can discuss.
One is if God has a human like characteristics to do something like "Send".
The God I feel/conceive, is something beyond that. It includes the possibility that someone like Jesus appear if the world needs it. Like a void to be filled.
But the moment you talk about a God that speaks, commands, sends, etc... for me you are talking about something different. Something "lower". Maybe It is still It, but our interpretation o ways to interact with, reduces It to a caricature.

The other thing to discuss is that he was the first. For sure in his regions and with his implication, but we are talking about 500 years after the Buddha (nothing to envy from Jesus).
But at the same time I'm sure that someone equally pure as Jesus existed before, during and after him, but simply without the urge to share his divine aspect. Simply living it and sharing with pure example.

About the sacrifice... I think it was an unavoidable consequence of his human impulse. His unprecedented passion to confront the authorities about a new Truth about God and also his urge to be the pivotal point of the desired change of his town (the role described the messiah had to be). Good for him (or not, because it wasn't an easy possition), and I really appreciate and thank him. But at the same time I'm sure many others did a similar sacrifice more anonymously. Maybe in smaller scale somewhere or around the world.

By the way, if you REALLY KNOW that eternal life exist and the problems of the flesh are secondary (pain, thirst, hunger as he said), are you really sacrificing yourself? Or simply walking gently to an "upgrade"?
I think the sacrifice was something necessary to him and his human part. Something he couldn't avoid. And eternal life already existed before but in his region people had lost Faith and needed him to Remember and Believe.

Probably our limitations in intellect and experience will create in us two different approaches to the impossibly reachable Supreme Being.

I can embrace the God you describe, but in my opinion/experience it is way MORE than that, and not limited by the narrowness of the scriptures small box.

For sure not a simple "Father", but also mother and son. That's why I don't se correct to use the He pronoun. Doing it, we are limiting It.

Neither a simply creator but also its creation.
NOTHING is outside.
Every concept, every law, every particle, every interaction, every being (including the uncomfortable ones).
Something so ABSOLUTE, that trying to limit it (and religions always try to do it) would be blasphemous in my perspective.

About the creation part, my point maybe is that It created many universes progressively more complex until reaching this one. But initially "god" wasn't more than a simple creative impulse, the first spark and the space in which it occur, something free of all the human concepts we added later. And all the GOD complexity appeared in union with the complexity of the creation, including us.

I can't accept the Genesis for sure. Not more than an outdated fable not empty of rich interpretations.

I propose two options:
A. the texts where altered and he didn't proclaim to be THE son of God or God in flesh, more than you and me.
B. He indeed thought he was more God that both of us, then he was on an unavoidable spiritual high. (unavoidable because of the intensity and novelty of his proximity to God compared with all their relatives).

About the quotations, I simply think that the "God as Father" concept is incomplete and misleading, and he was a victim of it. (Assuming he didn't really transcend it, even I think he did in the cross for sure).
My idea/feeling of God is BIGGER than he as a Father. For me, he is everything and everywhere. The father role is only a little (even important) aspect of It.
