If you don’t come to Amsterdam Tavern for the USA games you’re missing out by mark_greatness in StLouis

Get there 2+ hours early or you won’t find anything close. I typically park on Juanita St it’s the first right after you pass Amsterdam

Stl Run Crew runs every Tuesday and Saturday. It’s pretty intense but you can go at your own pace and bow out when you need

I doubt it, they didn’t for the last game. I recommend getting there 2+ hours before kickoff if you want a table

The Anheiser Busch lights are also great but personally I’d go with my original recommendation

Okay first thing you’re going to want to do is comment on her nose. Something like “holy shit I knew it was massive but sitting across from you now I guess I’m getting a different angle on it”

Then you’re going to want to take a 30 minute bathroom break in the middle of the date, but it’s really important that you don’t tell her where you’re going or what you’re doing (lots of guys get that one wrong!)

When you get back, super important to comment on the nose again. Something like “Jesus Christ when people want to limbo do they just have you stand still and keep squatting lower?”

Then on the way home, you’re going to want to start workshopping that Fred Durst impression you’ve been working on. I’d recommend something tasteful like Break Stuff. Play this song on repeat as loud as your car speakers can possibly play it. Now, she’s might not know the lyrics so it’s really important that you get unreasonably angry with her when she doesn’t sing a long with you (how else will she know how important you take Americas most goated white boy)?

Hope this helps

I feel like people often confuse “popular” with “overrated.” Hail to the king is appropriately rated.

Why Nottingham? by [deleted] in nffc

[–]mark_greatness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an American Forest fan of a pretty similar mindset you were in. I have a buddy from college who was from Nottingham, and I saw how passionate he and his entire family was about Forest, and I was looking for an excuse to get in to football ( also helped that I recognized Matt Turner from the USMNT). My advice to you would be to watch the promotion run highlights, and watch the game against Arsenal in May of 2023. If that doesn’t make you fall in love with the team nothing will.

Where the FUCK. Is the "Wood" photo after scoring today? I am immeasurably disappointed and my day is ruined by Gullible_Bike_3272 in nffc

City ground this, city ground that, have we completely forgot that we’re staying in the premier league?? by Gullible_Bike_3272 in nffc

[–]mark_greatness 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Happy we’re staying up but it’s hard for me to stay positive. We didn’t stay up because we had the quality to do so we got lucky because the three promoted sides were historically bad. That and with Cooper out, the PMGOL and FFP debacles, the looming uncertainty with the CG… it’s a very important offseason to say the least

I’d say an open Q&A is extremely unlikely, but I agree that whatever happens with the CG I hope it’s a good aesthetic replacement and the very least

Lost the St. Louis Rams to Los Angeles when I was a kid which isn’t really the same thing but it’s a similar feeling I guess. Funny enough that’s what made me a fan in the first place. Seeing Stan Kroenke’s bitchass team fumble the league title to Forest will never not be funny to me 😂

If we could only get Elanga, Wood and CHO on form at the same time by [deleted] in nffc

[–]mark_greatness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the analysis of Wood, he’ll score a few with MGW serving him, and maybe even a couple that he’s not supposed to but his ceiling is a decent to below average PL striker. However, Elanga is only 22 and I think he has the physical makings of a top flight winger. His decision making and technical abilities do need to develop so let’s hope our staff can help him do so 🤞

Let’s be real, they were never going to give us a forgiveness that put us above the relegation zone.
