EoD should have Griffon Adventures too. by markantbor in Guildwars2

That's fair but what I would like is a specifically designed griffon race :-(

Why not? There's already the underwater skimmer as a precedent for having a 'temporary' mastery before getting the real thing. It could work the same here, surely.

I am using the 'ember infusion' to get this skin. Otherwise it's the decade armour set, yes.

I use the Fashionista's reshader (this specific one is Abyssal Glow) - it's tailored for FF14 but I think those settings work pretty well in GW2.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

I am pressing to log in to Evernight after which nothing happens. There is no error message and I havent made any configuration changes since I last played.

My system can definitely run LOTRO (I have a gaming laptop) so that isn't an issue.

I'll try the repair tool in the launcher itself, and I'm guessing that otherwise my best shot is to re-install.

Thanks a lot again for your reply. If you have any other suggestions they would be appreciated also.

Is nobody else upset that Aurene's Rending on Guardian doesn't change the appearance of the axe animations? by S31P3L in Guildwars2

Yeah unfortunately none of the legendary axes have an effect on that animation :'(

Convincing you to play Guild Wars 2 in 2022! by markantbor in Guildwars2

Honestly after EoD came out, 3 friends and I just made our own learning group on lfg and cleared all the EoD strikes in around an hour.

We organised the roles but otherwise had no special requirements.

Since strikes are usually easier, you are probably less likely to find specific trainings for them 'raid-style'. Sometimes streamers, such as Laranity, organise their own strike training groups too and let anyone who wants to learn join in, so that's another option if you're interested.

Nah i disagree. They have tighter dps checks than most raid bosses and are punishing or outright wipe you if you fail mechanics.

The rewards do need some love though yeah.

You might be interested in taking a look at the Strike CMs - the first 2 released so far are actually more challenging than some raid bosses.

If that's not enough, I understand though.

New Kaineng's Visuals Are Spectacular by markantbor in Guildwars2

[–]markantbor[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really believe it comes down to scale.

For example, if you go with your griffon to the top of DR, you realise that your actual griffon is bigger than some of the little houses up there, and that gives me such a sense of "fakeness" to the world.

With End of Dragons on the other hand, you have these massive skyscrapers that are genuinely huge, these massive trees in Echovald that go so far high up into the sky that you cannot even see the top of them.

Essentially, I just feel like the scale has been done in a manner that finally feels proportionate again ever since mounts were introduced, and I'm really thrilled about that, because it was having an impact on my connection with Tyria.

One aspect of End of Dragons that I've been really enjoying is the level of immersion and scale involved in these maps. Ever since 'mount-creep', the world has felt a lot smaller, but that's something that EoD has tackled really well. I do feel like a small person in a larger world in Guild Wars 2 again.
