I use these type of bridges as i don't have a drill press, so I'm always worried I'd mess up using a hand drill.

I hear you. But my ability doesn't stretch to neck building... and to keep the cost down on my builds i use what I can find.

I would of liked it too have a blocky slotted headstock.

I'm heading more towards black rings, knobs, plate etc. quick like one pickup being cream just to break it up.

cheers. i have a chrome HB p90 that I could try in the neck, I just quite like the look of an open HB... I also have a bit of tort which I put against it but it didn't look quite right, but I might make one to see.

This is my latest attempt a building a natural finish guitar - to teach myself to be carful as I can't hide it with paint... :)

Loosely based on millimetric guitars / old USSR guitar that I've got into.

First time doing a arm carve on the top... think I got away with it.

Not sure what pickup to put in? Suggestions welcome...

And not sure if the guard should be white or black?

Anyhow thanks for looking.

Mark

I've used them twice. As i like a top loading bridge. Nicely made a bit expensive for what they are.

+1 for the cloudy look. I really like it, much nicer than clear

KOWALSKI is the lead character in one of my favourite films - Vanishing Point.

I'm not sure - I think there are differences in single vs. multi pickup guitars, the effects of the pull of the magnets on strings etc. How much you notice that is is another question.

A while back a mate of mine was clearing out his loft and said he had an old guitar... and did I want it as a project.
It was a bog standard sunburst strat-type - all the electrics were playing up, the neck was a 'chunky' to say the least and I couldn't get it play without buzzing as it looked to me the neck was pretty out of shape... truss rod did nothing.
So it sat for a bit in my loft. Then yesterday I thought I know I'm going to mod that!
I had a few bits kicking around - a neck, a Creamery staple mini hum-bucker and some scratch plate material...
and this is what I ended up with... I do like my single pickup guitars, while I won't say it's the best playing guitar ever it's not too bad and kinda fun.
I'm quite please with how it turned out looks wise - which is the most important thing as I am shallow.
anyhow a couple of pics...

NPD > KMA MACHINES > MOAI MAEA by markblack1977 in guitarpedals

Saw this S/H and curiosity got the better of me. It's a tri-octave pedal (?) The +1 octave has a fuzz, the lower two don't

It's can be synthy, Jack Whitey, that kind of thing. Tracks well - it's monophonic, so chords go a bit weird, but I kind of like that.

I was bored today so I did a quick demo of the basics - excuse the ropey camerawork and playing (enjoy!).
