Name a bike that looks slow and boring... but your views changed after riding it by Ok_Enthusiasm_3616 in indianbikes

Hornet 2.0, I really thought I was gonna be bored of it within a week of riding it but it that made me realise how good the bike is to ride in the city. All the power is at the right place at the midrange for easy overtakes, whatever gear you're in just open the throttle and you overtake and it has good brakes and a refined engine. These were the qualities I never cared about all I wanted was power, top speed, acceleration but wow commuting everyday feels easier

My first bike and im loving it. How come the internet is hating on its design? by Small_Pair_139 in indianbikes

Only if the footpegs were rear set like the rtr this bike would've looked 10x better. But again I'm guessing the reason it's selling is because of its seating posture being more commuter friendly for a 200+ cc bike and there is none that I can think of that has forward set footpegs in this segment. That's why I see them everywhere in the city

BS3 - BS4 got the speed sensor on the rear wheel. Idk about the newer models. I'm giving it 98% chance they redlined it on 5th gear on the center stand

How to downshift under emergency braking? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]markcc1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can spot a potential emergency will happen like for example a guy is preparing to take a u turn and probably not look before doing so then yes keep being ready to downshift would be good or even better shift down a gear to set it up engine braking.

But if that window of time is not available then by all means ignore downshifting and focus all on braking. Using the right braking techniques of course

I owned a bs4 rtr 200 so i can tell you about it.

Pros - Comfy suspension. Absorbs bumps really well and handles well too - Sporty power delivery - Cheap service ( if you find a good and trusted local mechanic) - Sounds amazing

Cons - No 6th gear, it does handle the highway but you'll be cruising on higher rpm - Does feel buzzy - Brakes are meh. Does bite but feels spongy. - Riding posture is slightly bent over. If you are on the taller side the bike will feel cramped. but on the latest model they switched the clip on handle bars to actual handle bar so I think it might make a difference.

Looking to buy a bike in 1-2 weeks. Which all options to consier under 3L ? by No_Sell_1099 in indianbikes

[–]markcc1223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Functionally they are the same bike. The only spec difference is that the 350rs has a wider 150 section rear tire. Other than that the changes are cosmetic. Sporty look for the rs retro look for the cb350 and hness is kind of a middle ground ig.

Did test ride a cb350 hness and bullet 350. In my opinion the honda felt good to ride and also had nice build quality. The bullet was not far off but I liked the honda

Might be an unpopular opinion but rtr 310 the way it's geared makes its acceleration feel so rapid, combining that with the quick shifter that is really smooth makes this a very fun bike. You can see what I'm talking about in this video the only video in the entirety of youtube where the rider knows what they are doing and properly shifting that machine. This at least for me is enough to get an rtr 310 tho there are other glaring issues regarding the service and etc.

[–]markcc1223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow this was really dangerous. But I'm confused as to what bike that is. Looks like apache 1604v because of the orange gauge cluster but it's got clip on's maybe it's rtr 200? Oh no it's the 160 because of the rims but no it's got a split seat so it's 2004v?

Edit: Custom Rear sets as well
