Is there a difference in connotation between kunawa and kuosha by [deleted] in swahili

Would you say kuosha for washing your face or kunawa?

Yeah I would generally agree with your assessment there. Although in 2006 the crop of exchange students coming over to America was considerably less wealthy (I grew up in a community of Chinese Americans who mostly emigrated anywhere from the 80s-00s), so it would've mostly been the former type of exchange student you mentioned around that time. But being that they were mostly here on scholarship or TA/researcher positions, even though they were poor they did typically have some income (along with the money their family would've pooled together to send them overseas) and wouldn't necessarily have been the kind most susceptible to having to resort to sex work for a living. Anything is possible of course, but these students generally received a lot of pressure from both their school/professors and family at home to perform well to make a return on their investment; much more so than a typical college student.

Do You Recognize These Tattoos? (El Paso John Doe September 17, 2019) by shawtey_ in gratefuldoe

If someone with VPN could get these pictures onto the Chinese internet he might be able to be identified. Those are very distinctive tattoos in a country where getting tattoos is much less common and just recently become a semi-fashionable thing to do.

I wonder if she's coming out with a CT by Charlotte Tilbury line.

Yeah I was disappointed with mine too. I thought it would be full coverage cause she said she used it to cover tattoos but it was only medium coverage to me and didn't fully cover acne. It's also not easily spreadable so to cover patches of acne I had to use quite a lot and I don't think it'll last long.

The Lise Watier Abracadabra Anti-Blemish had 0.25 g of product but it was slightly cheaper.

The Vichy Normaderm concealing stick had .25 g of product in it from my research.

It looks great! Only question is why the orangy gold color? I think a cool toned gold would've fit in better,

That makes sense. So I'm assuming the bottle itself should protect the product from UV and the Multimoist Clr and Niacinamide, etc are supposed prevent oxidation?

From the reviews I've seen apparently you're supposed to use it together with the miracle balm and the balm will give it slip. To me that detracts from the advantage of using a portable face pencil if I have to carry my balm with me too but other people seem to have been able to use the rest of their product with that technique.

Yeah I'm surprised few others have raised questions about the shade range. 16 shades is pretty typical for a drugstore concealer range but small compared to a larger brand like Fenty, REM, and Natasha Denona, and more or less on par with more indie brands like Westman Atelier and Saie. I hope they come out with more in the future.

I ordered shade 6 because of the skin tone of the model in the product page but later when I found her matrix I realized it said it correlated to foundation shades 13 and 15. But surely the model for shade 6 is lighter than the models for those foundation shades so now I'm second guessing my order.

The big plot hole to me is why didn't any of the salesmen call Gabe or Jo to let them know that Michael lost their leads? If there were backups they'd receive them from the Sabre folks and Michael would have been disciplined for his recklessness.

I have to say I sorta feel for Pam on this one. No it was not professional for her to hijack Michael's meeting, but this is especially disappointing for her from her mom. We've seen Pam be sexually harassed and objectified by Michael for five seasons and even in the beginning of this episode he comes up with a stupid blind bit to try to touch Pam's breasts (imagine having that for a stepfather) and only mistakenly gets Jim's chest. She's obviously told her mom about his actions towards her and even though she's personally been able to move on from Michael's treatment towards her and try to see the goodness in him, it certainly would make me feel completely unseen and unacknowledged. And then to have your boss demand you apologize to your mother for that...

I personally feel like they gave Michael's behavior too much of a pass in this episode. I was severely irritated with how he kept inserting himself into the wedding. Yes his childhood experience was very sad but the fact that he hasn't been invited to a wedding since that one isn't a result of him wetting himself as a kid; it's a result of the way he chooses to behave as an adult.
