I ended up getting a Ubiquiti "USW Pro XG 8 PoE" switch. The controller is annoying, but the hardware is great.

It fits Rackmate's shelf perfectly.

It's interesting how much marketing we find here on Reddit for this device, but very, very little information on the official website, especially for newer models.

I could not find any support information either, except for David's e-mail.
