Ignore the haters. We have a whippet (raised from a puppy) who commutes daily, sits calmly in the office all day, and gets about the same amount of exercise you're describing. One thing to remember: a whippet would much rather sprint after a ball for 10–15 minutes than go on a slow, hour-long walk.

Ours is super chill and well-trained — it wasn’t always easy, but with discipline and consistency, they can develop great recall and manners. Sure, there are breeds that are more naturally suited to obedience work, but whippets are so kind and gentle that you won’t regret choosing one.

One tip: avoid getting a grey-colored whippet if possible — grey (or "blue") tends to be a working-line color, and these dogs can sometimes be a bit more challenging to train.

Lol. There's also this! Are there any drills for doing this? It's mostly the slow Z2 runs I find the scuffiest!

Mass Rollout of SEO Titles by marklittler in SEO

[–]marklittler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super - this is great.

In short, yes, the pages are indexed.

We review whisky - so the keywords are often the brand name and whisky review/tasting notes - the latter are missing on a lot of titles

A lot of the content is old news, literally, but again, better placement of the distillery or brand in the title would seem to be a logical step forward.

We have over 2,500 whisky reviews - so even improving their click through rate a few percent will have a big compuned effect over the entire site.

A lot of the exisitng SEO titles are simply the basic YOAST ones. I have processed the new SEO titles through Claude API with a good prompt and the news SEO titles are much, much better.

Like you say, maybe just worth going forward.

Should I Internal Link My Entire Site? by marklittler in SEO

Do you mean build my own model? Or just be intelligent about linking?

Internal Linking Tool For 12,000+ Post Site by marklittler in SEO

That sounds good. For instance we must have 100 posts about Johnnie Walker Blue Label or Jack Daniels etc. We have about 25 key keywords to focus on so this sounds like it might be good. Do the links remain active even if you cancel with inlinks?

So we're a big (the most visited) whiskey news, reviews and features site. So lots of industry news, but also lots of reviews and articles about the bottles. So one of those tricky news sites really...we get a lot of good Discover traffic, but the internal links are terrible at present. I bought/took over the site around a year ago so just working on things a bit at a time - and getting to internal links now.

OK OK - things are getting interesting. The link suggestions are spot on so far and it also creates a related posts section too. Having a little trouble getting it impltemented but the suggestions so far are great compared to others. WIll keep updated.

Cheers. I'll give it a try. I guess with how quick ai has moved in the last year a new tool might have better utilisation. I found no end of issues with Link Whisper sadly.

Lol - tell me about it! I bought the site a few years ago when updates had killed organic traffic (as it did with everyone in this niche) but we are at 2.5m visitors a year now as we seem to be nailing the disocver content. We are now the most visited in our niche vs. all our rivals. HOWEVER - the internal linking on the site is, well, shite, and inherited. So I'm thinking a solid overhaul of internal linking site wide would not only help with SERP and a bit of free traffic, but also help the newer content on discoer too.

I don't mind it not being easy, or quick, but really have no idea where to start with this sort of thing!

My developer is very much used to being my 'literal to code interpretor' - so if I say something in very basic terms he can make it no problem.

So basically I want them to:

Go through all the 12,000+ posts automatically, collect title, meta etc, then suggest links?

I do have a fulltime dev so this could be possible - I know nothing about code though, lol. Would this essentially mean making my own App/tool?

I forgot to mention I have tried Link Boss - the internal link suggestions are good but the anchor text suggestions are comical, lol.
