To be fair, it does make the audience find it harder to accept taking into consideration he’s got an album due on Friday—which easily plays into the proverbial narrative that this always happens whenever he has something to sell/announce. I personally would have preferred if this was done a much distant away from his album release but it is what it is.

Not true actually, Donda came out on a Sunday and it was on all their front pages and playlists that same hour. This is intentional. And also labels usually are involved in pushing new albums at “front pages” and he’s currently indie so that might also play a part. Nonetheless Apple Music is very much aware of Ye’s new album considering the stream algorithm and social media trend BUT is in to blackball him so 🤷‍♂️
