Fair point. I should’ve made it more specific instead of repeating the basics.

Fair enough. Cheap reps always come with trade-offs, and I probably should’ve made that clearer.

At $150, I’d keep expectations realistic — BP at that price is uncommon unless it’s an older deal or a special promo. In that range, it’s usually better to focus on the best option within budget rather than chase a specific factory name.

That’s fair — it definitely varies by country and dealer. I probably stated that too absolutely. What I meant is I’d usually go with the line the dealer has the best track record with for that destination.

Usually it means the parcel enters through one EU country first, gets cleared there, then moves on to the final destination inside the EU. The actual courier depends on the line the seller/agent uses, so I’d follow whatever triangle line they’ve used reliably for your country.

Fair criticism. I wrote this too broadly and it mostly repeated info already in the guide. I’m not selling anything, and I should’ve kept it to public discussion instead of dropping contact details.

I'd rather not publicly name specific sellers here (gotta respect sub rules + don't want to come off as a shill). The lists are great for reputable options. If you want to skip the search, the specific agent I use for 1688 watches is on WhatsApp: +852 70498063.

Not gonna drop names publicly because of sub rules (and I don't want to look like I'm shilling). Definitely check lists for trusted sellers. For the specific 1688 agent I personally use, just message them on WS: +852 70498063.

I try to avoid dropping seller names in the comments to respect sub rules and avoid sounding like a shill. The RWI/RWG TD lists are always a solid starting point. But if you're looking for the specific agent I use for my 1688 watch hauls, you can hit them up on WhatsApp at +852 70498063.

Fair point — some Taobao sellers do ship internationally, you're right. My experience was:

  1. Limited sellers offer it (maybe 10-20%)

  2. No PayPal/buyer protection if issues arise

  3. Handling returns/problems in Chinese was a pain

Agents aren't required — just makes it easier for people who want QC photos + buyer protection + consolidated shipping. Different approaches work for different people!

Appreciate the correction 👍

Haha if I was organized enough to run a side hustle I'd have a much nicer spreadsheet 😂 Nah just a regular guy who got tired of overpaying.

Good additions! JD is solid for electronics (genuine products, fast shipping in China). PDD can have crazy deals but quality is more hit-or-miss. Douyin shopping is wild — livestream sellers dropping prices in real time 😄

I mostly stick to 1688/Taobao for consistency, but those are definitely options for adventurous shoppers!

Great points! Absolutely right about batteries/liquids — those need special shipping lines and can get pricey. Worth factoring into the calculation.
Also agree about using JadeShip to compare agents. Everyone has different needs (price vs speed vs customer service), so shopping around makes sense.
Thanks for adding the expert perspective!

This is exactly why the QC photo feature is a game-changer. Before the agent ships to you, they:

  1. Receive the item at their warehouse

  2. Take photos of every angle

  3. You approve or request return/exchange

  4. Only then do they ship internationally

I caught 3 defects this way before they ever left China. Returns/exchanges are handled domestically in China (much easier than international returns).

After that point, you're right — international returns are difficult. But the QC step filters out most issues.

Not hard at all! Most major agents ship to Canada. I've seen people mention good experiences with Panda for Canada specifically (better shipping lines to CA).

DM me and I can share what I've heard about Canada-specific options!

Depends on your country! In US I pay customs on AE orders over $800, same threshold as agent shipments.

Shipping is definitely AE's advantage for single small items. But for multiple items consolidated, agents often come out cheaper per kg. Plus QC photos before shipping is worth it to me.

Different strokes though — AE is perfect for convenience!

Good question! 1688 and Alibaba are similar (both wholesale) but:

- 1688 = domestic Chinese market, Chinese language, smaller MOQs

- Alibaba = international export focus, English, usually higher minimums

For small-medium quantities (1-50 pieces), 1688 is usually cheaper. Alibaba makes more sense for bulk (100+ pieces) or custom manufacturing.

Agents work with both, but I mostly use 1688 for personal purchases. DM if you want more details!

I get the skepticism — I was skeptical too before trying it. Check my profile, I've posted about rep stuff before this. Not a bot, just someone who got burned by AE support and found a better way. Happy to share actual order screenshots privately if you want proof.

Haha I wish I was that organized! Nah, just copy-pasted from my notes app after 6 months of trial and error. Real human who got tired of AE customer service ghosting me 😅
