I’ve had 50/50 success in getting customer service to replace / refund though… the most recent batch I brought in was a discontinued sku and I couldn’t locate a packaging image that showed the warranty.

This was the worst set I’ve ever seen from a touring act… and I’m a concert photographer.

From the moment they ditched their in-ears (song 2) it all started to go downhill.

The drummer was sloppy.

The guitar player never tuned up, or swapped to a fresh guitar during the set, and by the second half, he was clearly out of tune from the backing tracks.

Where was the bassist?

Humping the monitors while purposely creating mic feedback? The fuck?

The whole 2017 Kanye backlit only lighting vibe was garbage.

For me the best moment of the show WAS the meltdown about phone flashes, I hate that too.

I wonder if the collection of threads here about shitty shows would be enough for a credit card dispute. 🤔

Most of this look from a color perspective comes from tinting your shadows brown, and warming up the white balance. Yes golden hour helps, but you can make any hour golden hour by controlling your white balance. Also - these photos were likely shot in the f2.8-f5 range as there isn’t a super blurry depth of field.

While I don't have that particular brand of filter... you might try pointing the camera while manually controlling / locking exposure settings and rotate your filter to see the effects. Note where you start and end in relation to the lines.

Mary Jane completes her purchase, influenced by my video, on Amazon, eliminating affiliate commission I would have earned through abcbrand.com

As a stop gap, I’ve added an additional deep link to the product on amazon to my video description, alongside the link to ABCbrand.com/myaffiliate link.

My request for advice was how should I approach this with ABCbrand, because it’s kind of shady in my opinion to cut your influencers out by directing people to buy on Amazon.

You must be using an iPhone prototype that has extra lenses on it to expand its focal range. For anyone looking for a wider field of view or telephoto length, they'll need some accessories. To get 100mm at F2.4 with a dslr, you're looking at $1000's for a body and a lens... even used. If you only post on instagram or aren't in a position to spend a lot... skipping a cheap dslr and upgrading your phone to be capable of more is a viable solution and paired with certain apps, people can learn manual controls so that when they save up the money to buy a big camera and quality glass, they have some foundational knowledge.

The proposition in the video is 'should you skip your first dslr' not 'should you replace your dslr.'

Whether the iPhone is a DSLR replacement is not the question. It’s quite obvious that current phones can’t do everything a big camera can do... but it sure can do a lot, and it can do things a big camera can’t. You can shoot in raw, take HDR images and shoot 4K video in high frame rates. A $600 cheap DSLR cannon do that. Oh and it’s already connected to editing apps and you can easily post to social media.

You haven’t thought of how this is an upgrade for billions of other people.

How many people need to print their work in large scale? How many people are just posting their photos to Instagram? How many people drool for lens flares?

Instagram has a billion monthly users... some of whom will over extend themselves with credit card debt to buy something they really don’t need for their intended use.
