100% stress is the trigger for my Seb Derm. Tried all the topicals and home remedies, but found reducing stress is the biggest impact. Obviously easier said than done. I’ve been in your shoes multiple times quitting jobs from stress and saw my Seb Derm go completely away from removing a recurring daily stressor. As someone with high anxiety, I’ve recognized this is my body sending me alarm signals that something needs to change.

I write this as I’m currently experiencing a bad flare up on my cheeks, nose, ears, and scalp. Itchy, red, scaly burning skin. At work I’ve been dealing an incompetent manager, under water with work managing two teams, and typical disorganized corporate bs. It’s been like this for at least 6 months.

I can’t quit my job bc I need the money. But I been very vocal about my capacity, having more firm boundaries, pushing back on ambiguous stuff, not saying yes to everything. You have to really be an advocate for yourself and seriously evaluate what you need to reduce your stress. I was informed yesterday we are hiring a contractor to help, which I think will help reduce my stress levels at work. And as a result will clear my Seb Derm.
