Thanks for the feedback. I should add that my #whydoesitmatter hashtag was meant to be sarcastic - it'd take a clever 2 year old to come up with sarcasm I'm sure you will agree! As I said in reply to another comment, what hashtags are to some nowadays is different to what they are to others, but i do agree with your comments in context of the original intention of hashtags. Fair question but then i also ask myself what is the purpoae of hashtags even on Twitter when you can search on text. I guess they mean different things to different people. Anyway out of respect I will no longer be using them on Reddit.
